Next Season of the Photomode Tournament starts August 31

Since Jacoja07 is no longer running the Photomode Tournament after the current "season" is over, I don´t mind hosting it (unless anyone else wants to run it).
Now I want to know other peoples thoughts. I want to know if you guys don´t mind to be me running the competition and I also want to know if there is interest of you guys to enter the next "season" of the Photomode Tournament. If your feedback is positive the next season will start after the current one is over.

Well, to begin, I'd change the titel of your thread to "Photomode Tournament"

Anyway, I'd love to see the Tournaments coming back but directly after the current ones is a little bit early IMO. I would wait at least a week to gather everyone who wants to be in the Tournaments.

Also, I'd like to see all the big names where they should belong, not that these people have to go to the other division just to be in. I mean, 440 CHARGER is a good example, I'd like to see him in the 2.0 division next time so what I'd suggest is to hold a qualification round. Each division just can be filled up with many entrants. People would have to choose their favorit 10 entries or something. When the qualification polls are over, those people or top-10 the voters voted for move to the actual Tournaments. But its only my idea...

It's still 2 divisions then, right? If so, fine with me Indeed we need a week to enter the theme's and to tell what division you want to be in. And if you want to host it, go ahead

And people don´t take me wrong, but I think the current "rules" of the Tournament are better, 16 entries for each side. But thats just my opinion of course.👍

Personally i think that 16 on each side is better too. It's bad luck for the person who doesn't enter, but their own fault for not checking.

Like Ultrashot said, I think a qualification round should do very well. I think the rules should look like this: all of the people just send in their entries without borders (!) and say to NTX if they want in PMC or 2.0 rules. Then, two polls get up with all of the shots of the people that entered. And the best 16 from each poll get in the tournament. I think that's the best way to do it. 👍

BTW it's nice of you that you want to run it. Did jacoja say somewhere he didn't want to run it anymore?

Jacoja decided to not running it anymore, and I already talk to him via PM, he helped me a lot, because my big problem is doing polls, but I think it will be easy.
Again I must say that I like more the Tournament with the actual rules, so I hope U people don´t mind. If this season goes well, I can run it more times, if U guys don´t mind of course.👍

I like the idea, (And it worked very well in the first tournament hosted by Treefingers.)but It was a stuggle to get 16 people for the PMC side in the current comp. So maybe it will not be needed.

I think it was at the very beginning of the competition, I planned to only host it once. I love doing it and all, but I just wont have the free time to host it again as I do now. I will definetly be part of the upcoming competition (2.0 rules) though. 👍

I believe there should be a good gap between the current competition, and the next. A week would be fine.

I would suggest to let as many people enter as possible
If there is more than 16 participants, run a qualification round and select the top 16. If pmc side still doesn't get enough participants after 2.0's qualification round, we can consider let the 2.0's disqualified participants to jump in for empty spots. However it may have a situation that they have even votes, maybe consider first come first served

I have an idea for a Photomode Tournament, with a different way of how it runs, but I will have to wait until after March before I set one up.

So it seems to be interest to continue the Photomode Tournament, so if nothing happens (like I break a leg or something) the Tournament will begin shortly after the current "season" of the Tournament is over, with 5 days to you guys "submit" your entries, bracket choice, 2.0 or PMC, and a theme suggestion, if U guys want of course.

Well it aren't exactly new rules. It was already with a quali round the 2nd time when TF organised the PD tourney, but I really think that's the most fair way, because everyone can vote on their most fave pics.

Most of the times I will bring the poll ASAP. But there are some weekends that I´m out of town, when that happens I will warn U guys, and the deadline will be extended for at least 1 more day. Hope U people don´t mind:tup:
