I did a search and couldn't find anything.

What kind off wheel would you like to have to play GT5?

I would love for this wheel to have:

* a bigger diameter***

* a separate gear shift (like the G25) H-pattern as sequential.

* a fully working clutch.

* adjustable pedals.

* Better and more acurate gear box.

Update list:

* an LCD with race info

* an e-brake (that puts out just as much pressure as you pull)

* a small dashboard with a speedometer, tachometer, fuel & oil gages, tire wear indicator

* be able to program the buttons

* a stand attached to your wheel to put your PSP in, so that it can act as a rear view mirror, (or include 1 to put on the top of your screen)

* Force Feedback/Rumble in the pedal assembly

* Shifter (stick) with FFB.

* Make the PSP support the logitech Wheels, get a USB convertor to plug it into the PSP.

* Make it less expensive.

* Interchangeable parts: swap different wheels and shift knobs.

* Shift light and ashtray.

* use the psp as a speedo, tach, g meter, and gas-brake meter mounted above the wheel, force feedback clutch for different cars, removable/changeable shift knobs, make a frame and seat built specially for the wheel and shifter (put rumble in the seat).

* everything on the G25 will work with GT5, a larger wheel as an add on for the G25.

* more smoothness. dfp feels rather rough

* being car-adjustable, i don't want a fiat panda giving me the same feel on the wheel as a lemans prototype

* firmer brake pedal

* Full support for G25 with adjustable FFB and buttons

* more durable

* gearbox with FFB

Maybe PD has some people on his pay roll whom read this forum to get some ideas. Put down as much as you can think off but within reason.

You forget a handbrake ;)
And an LCD with info would also be cool.

Maybe with your race position and current laptime.
That way you can turn it off onscreen, which gives a more natural view while racing.

How about including a small dashboard with a speedometer, tachometer, fuel & oil gages, tire wear indicator? Let's get those instruments off the screen and behind the wheel were they belong 👍

Me I just want to be able to program the buttons on my G25 wheel the way i want them, and give me a rearview mirror no matter what view I'm driving in.

It's just a rumor that there will be a GT5 wheel. If there's going to be a next wheel (for GT5) then it will be release before GT5 comes out.

Im pretty sure in one of the videos theres an interview with KY and he says there will be a new wheel designed for GT5

and what about a mini-wheel for psp version XD---just a joke

Now that sir, is a totally +repworthy suggestion in my book. I'd buy that wheel in a cold second.

I love what everyone else has suggested so far but would also like to add Force Feedback/Rumble in the pedal assembly as well. Also have a thing where you attached to your head so that when you move your head, it'll look to the left or right so you can see if there is someone besides you. I know there is already something like this out in the market for PC but I can't remember the name of it for the life of me.

(I believe you mean the I-glasses in combination with), the track-IR. PD already has a better solution. 3 screen setup.

No joke. Make the PSP support the logitech Wheels :)

When I bought Formula 1 for the PS3, there were rumors and actual press conferences that stated the psp would be able to display the games rear view mirror....BUT I've search all through the official game and cannot find this feature.

You forgot that the wheel shall not be so expensive that only millionaires have enough money to but it. :P

Well you forgot one thing, Interchangeable parts! Like you can swap different wheels and shift knobs. It would be great and wont be the same boring instruments......

That's the screen for the instruments right there !...

they should use the psp as a speedo, tach, g meter, and gas-brake meter mounted above the wheel. keep the rearview on the screen. The g25 wheel is almost perfect but it could use handbrake, force feedback clutch for different cars, and removable/changeable shift knobs. I would love for logitech to go all out and make a frame and seat built specially for the wheel and shifter. If they want to get crazy they could put rumble in the seat.

I just hope they make it so that everything on the G25 will work with GT5. I'd rather not spend a bunch of money on another wheel when i already have the best one out there at the moment.

Now if only logitech would make a larger wheel as an add on for the G25.

At the moment, yes. I have DFP at the moment and I'd like to have G25, but I'm waiting for GT5 to be released. Knowing PD it might be somewhere in late 2009 and who knows what's "the best" wheel at that time...

You sure about that Late 2009 i mean that sounds kind of late if Gt5 Prologue is being released before then end of the year?
Gt4 Prologue came out in 2004 Sort of August i think it was here and around April 2005 the proper game is out i doubt they would take another 2 years to finish the game of prologue means that the game is near completed and being improved by little bits.
2 Years is the time it would take to design a whole new game and do about 50% of it for a game big like Gt.
Owell i still dont have a ps3 will give me time to save up for one :D.
That wheel with all those things i think would turn out pretty expenisive LOL to me the G25 is too much that wheel would cost as much as 5 G25's im gonna use my DFP in GT5 its only 3 months old and great for me nothing wrong with it.

my major requirement for future wheels is more physical realism:
1) bigger diameter (i've driven a lot of different sports cars and none of them had such a small wheel as dfp; g25 looks bigger but not by much - i've 'steered' it at a shop and it's still unrealistically small for my taste - that's why i'm not so keen to change my dfp for g25). the wheel should be big, not bus-big, but well bmw-big. and i can't see any reason why logitech make them so small. saving on materials? or thinking it will be bought for kids with little hands?
2) more smoothness. dfp feels rather rough (i believe small diameter also has something to do with this). judging by the wheel weight it seems that every car in gt4 is a lamborghini from the 70s. lack of slack is essential. there may be a dead zone around zero but no lousy shaking of the wheel between the teeth of its gearing mechanism
3) being car-adjustable. it's probably unrealistic to have different steering feel/programmes for every of 800 cars, but fwd and rwd obviously have a different feel, and i don't want a fiat panda giving me the same feel on the wheel as a lemans prototype
4) firmer brake pedal. much firmer than now

as for all that gizmos like lcds etc - it's crap. it will make the wheel expensive, it will make it more prone to faults, it actually won't add anything to realism being just a distraction
