It turned out to be more entertaining than I expected. There were several instances where real teammates put a couple of big blows on each other. Better than the farce we had a couple years ago. I think the most enjoyable moment myself was when Burfict went diving for the interception after it got tipped at the line. Who Dey!

The game was pretty good. I didn't expect to see a lot of defense played but it was. I think I like to new format.

It was. Could have been really bad for the Browns though. I see the Dolphins hired a GM. It some guy who according to reports was about to be fired! I hope things turn out well for the Dolphins.

Hickey put together Dungy's/Gruden's champion Bucs. The guy is an upgrade over Ireland, even if it's just for his personality.

That said, he just signed a 2 year contract, right in line with when Philbin's expires. That means they're tied at the hip, and if she don't take flight by then she's headed for the scrapper.

Gary Kubiak went from Texans' head coach to offensive coordinator for the Baltimore Ravens. So if my Texans play Baltimore next season, we'll have to contend with Kubiak as an offensive coordinator. Best of luck to Gary Kubiak with his new team.

Nevermind what I said about Hickey. The guy is just, literally, an unknown.

Sherman: Thug accepted way to call a black person the N word

http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-on...hug-is-accepted-way-of-calling-someone-n-word

I think he has a point with this. How do I know? You dont hear similar players like Johnny Manziel being called a thug. Its definitely racially charged.

Thug means stupid brute without morals. Bully is a decent synonym but doesn't carry the complete connotation.

The N-word doesn't really carry any of those meanings. It does carry the stupid portion, but it also carries with it a general connotation of inferiority. It means uneducated, unintelligent, classless, person who is not deserving of respect or rights because of their color. The N-word doesn't carry with it any connotation of being a brute, or a bully. Bully would be a terrible synonym for the N-word because it implies that the bully has the upper hand and uses it cruelly - not associated with the N-word which implies inferiority and lack of deserving of respect.

Was Sherman acting like a stupid bully? Sortof. He was still beating up on someone who was beaten, and not in a particularly... I'll use the word "articulately" here despite its loaded connotation. I think that qualifies.

So, no, I think Sherman is trying to play the victim card after acting like a moron on TV.

I'd like to see an ESPN E60 feature on Sherman this off-season.

If they did that I think he would get more respect from the rest of the nation (we in Seattle already adore him). Nobody who actually knows the guy can honestly hate him. I mean, 'haters gonna hate', but the guy is a model human being.

Exactly. Seeing an ESPN E60 on Cortland Finnegan really helped changed my preconceived opinions about him. Documentaries won't change everyone's opinion but it did for me.

I think the issue with Lynch not speaking to the media is overblown. Who cares?

I love it how the media is trying to stir up a story that Marshawn not speaking to the media is distracting the team. Makes me laugh.

I'll defend Lynch as much as I defend Sherman. The 12s don't care that he doesn't do interviews. His talking on the field is louder than anything he could say to a mic.

And then, there were two. Today is the big day. Congratulations to whomever wins the Super Bowl- whether it is Seattle or Denver.

According to Yahoo! Sports, the line favors DEN by 2.

I predict that PETA's going to bitch and moan about Joe Namaths fur coat...
Joe "Macklemore" Namath shops at the thrift shop

Go Seahwaks... Or Broncos. Don't Really care

A botched snap is definitely the way you want to start off on the most watched television program of the year.

I am clueless about NFL. But damn that's a fast start. Why do they stop everytime someone gets tackled? Is that what the lines on the pitch are for?

And why did Seattle's #11 just get pulled back?

Because the ball is considered down, you get 4 downs to move 10 yards (Or 2 of the white lines that cross the pitch). 11 got pulled back because he stepped of the field while he had the ball, so he downed it himself.

Only early but the Broncos really need to step up their game up on both sides on the ball. Seattle looking pretty good so far.

Denver needs serious help. Seattle just about has field goals on its field goals (yo dawg, we heard you liek field goals, so we put field goals on yo field goals so you can score while you score), Denver has nothing. While a field goal can't actually be scored on a kickoff, it still would've been an epic trololo had that kickoff gone through the goalposts.

Here's hoping it keeps up.

Oh man, this cannot get any worse for the Broncos. Seattle is destroying Denver 22-0 and they might have just recovered a fumble from Denver's kickoff return. :ouch:

Well Denver might just have finally caught a break. The fumble was ruled a tackle and the Broncos still have the ball.

My brother was undecided if to bet money on Seahawks or not, because they're 5:1 on the Casino a few blocks down the street.

He was going to bet 350 dollars, he's not that happy right now
