NFL Divisional Weekend.

I think the Skins will upset the Seahawks.

The Patriots will lose to the Broncos.

The Steelers will beat the Colts. and

The Bears will lose to the Panthers.

Actually I'm changing my prediction on the Broncos, I think they'll take out the shaky Pats... but that's going to be a close game, could go either way.

Here's my official list.

Broncos beat Pats
Colts beat Steelers
Hawks DESTROY the PATHETIC Skins (I am actually something of a skins fan)
Bears beat Panthers

The skins will own the seahawks.

It will be a close one between the pats & broncos.

I don't care about the rest of them.

This really sucks because I like the bears, the panthers, and seattle.

- Hopefully the Horsies will beat the Patriots, but, I'm not so sure after watching the wildcard weekend. Belicheck and the Pats are playoff dogs.
- I won't place my favor towards any side due to my deep respect for both teams. As always, let the best man win, and then let that man go to the superbowl. Screw the pats AND the broncos.
- As much as I like the Skins and Coach Gibbs, I like the Sea-town birdies (O-line, what?) and Coach Holmgren (probably one of my favorite coaches) more. They probably deserve it. Seattle is like the most isolated team in the NFL.
- I really like Carolina, but I really like Lovie Dovey and his team too. I guess i'll call this one like the Colts-Steelers game.

seattle will not own washington. nor will washington own seattle.

las vegas seems to think the seahawks will win but i have my doubts.

You're all forgetting that Washington couldn't score a touchdown if the field was slanted and there were 2 defenders on the field. Their defense is fine, but they're not going to score many points. Santana Moss is their only healthy weapon. And he doesn't get to do anything unless a hobbling Mark Brunell can find him. They got past Tampa Bay by the skin of their teeth. The Seahawks are a much better team. I hope the Redskins have been practicing outside. It's been pretty miserable here, and promises to be no different on Saturday. :)

Remember, the Redskins bet Seattle 20-17 earlier in the season.

If Alexander has a poor game, then the Redskins should win. If Jones, Strong and Hutchinson open up some gaps for Alexander, then he should fire on all cylinders, and the Hawks should win. I'm hoping that battered Washington D does shut him down.

Both teams are different now than they were in Week 3. The Seahawks have said that the loss to Washington was the turning point of the season. 120 yards of offense will not win this game.

The 'Hawks have a solid passing attack, you just don't hear about it because Alexander is too good. Sure Hasslebeck isn't setting single-season TD records, but that doesn't mean he sucks.

Let's face it, the Skins don't belong in the playoffs. They're a terrible team and a close victory against a crappy Tampa team who also didn't belong in the playoffs doesn't help their image. They're going down. The Hawks losing to the skins next week would be like the Colts losing to the Steelers... it would be a huge upset.

Nobody is giving the Steelers a chance vs. the Colts, which I think is ridiculous, especially considering the way Peyton chokes every year in the playoffs. You also must consider that Pittsburgh is a much healthier team going into this week than they were earlier in the season, in their first matchup vs. the Colts. Roethlisberger was in his first game back from an injury and was clearly rusty, and Kendell Simmons was out (backup Trai Essex committed most of the false starts). Maybe it's because I'm from Pittsburgh, but I really think that both teams go into this game with an equal chance.

Also remember that the Monday Night Game during the reg. season was a lot closer than the scoreboard indicated. Cowher made a dumb call and began the 2nd half with an onside kick, which was 7 free points for the Colts, and other than that most of Indys points were on Field Goals. I am confident that if they play well, their D can stop Peyton. The only thing that worries me is if their offense can put up the points or not. One touchdown isn't going to cut it.

I guess all I'm saying is don't write the Steelers off just yet.

My predictions:
Pittsburgh over Indy.
New England over Denver
Seattle over Washington
Carolina over a very overrated Chicago Bears

Pardon the OT post, but Carson Palmer's knee injury was horrendous:

Hope he can come back.

Now they're saying that the Doctor's comments were blown out of proportion, and that he'll probably be ok for next year.

I really hope he can come back and play just as well as he used to. I hate the Bengals, but Carson Palmer is an amazing quarterback and it would be a shame to see his career cut short.

Your forgetting that Clinton Portis wasn't healthy for last weeks game. When hes healty it forces the defense to play more agianst the run and Santana gets open when that happens.

Seattle 23 / Washington 17
New England 27 / Denver 24 (Vinatieri winning FG)
Indianapolis 34 / Pittsburg 20
Carolina 24 / Chicago 10 ( Go Panthers!!!)

Good to see that Palmer will probably be ready by next season. He's a great young QB, I'd hate to see him go out like that.

Woh, Bill Cowher isn't exactly the best of playoff coaches. In playoffs he is 9-9, whilst Peyton is 3-5, or 3-3 if you exclude his choking against New England games.

Just look at Mannings stats in the playoffs:
171 completed passes, 284 attempts, 2171 yards, 14 TDS and 8 INTs. As well as two rushing TDs. I think it is quite stupid to say Peyton always chokes in the playoffs. He has been no Tom Brady up until now, but hes not playing Tom Brady either.

I was pointing more at the fact that Washington scored 20 points. And might I add had over 350 total yards in offense. Seattle doesn't have the same Defense as Tampa Bay. Washington's offense had a bad game against a great defense. It shouldn't happen this weekend.

And that was the turning point in the season because most of their opponents after that were very weak. After that they faced:
St. Louis - easy
Houston - easy
Dallas - challenge
Arizona - easy
St. Louis - easy
San Francisco - easy
N.Y. Giants - challenge, but would have lost if not for a retarded kicker
Philadelphia - easy (Philly were highly weakened by then)
San Francisco - easy
Tennessee - easy
Indianapolis - easy (Indy were highly weakened, no Dungy etc)
Green Bay - easy

And if I recall correctly, Washington has the strongest strength of schedule, whilst Seattle has the weakest out of all the playoff teams.

Yes. Washington had one of the hardest if not the hardest schedule in the league. So sayin they don't deserve to be in the playoffs is outrageous. The went 10-6 for cryin out loud.

They've been horribly inconsistent. Tampa's defense may be good (though I personally think they're over rated), but the Washington offense was AWFUL, and has been AWFUL in many games this season. The only reason the skins beat Tampa was because Chris Simms is Mr. Choke.

Washington can thank our kick/punt returners for keeping it close. Without those two fumbles, Washington is never in the game.

Edit: Looks like the Patriots have finally been knocked off. It's about time. Nothing more boring than the same team winning every year.

Pats lose. Denver really sucks, though. I laughed SOOOOO hard when Champ Bailey got PWNED. The Pats lost the game for themselves. What a bunch of noobs.

I hope S. Alexander is good for the next game. The Redskins suck, dude. I laughed out loud at their kicker at the sports bar. Everyone was looking at me funny.

The final two NFC games will be better than the superbowl, in my opinion. Can't wait for 'em.

I forget who it was but I saw highlights on the news tonight where the moron that thought he was gonna get a touchdown instead got OWNED at the one yard line. Nice hit!

Yeah, that "moron" ran an interception back 100 yards after being on the field for a long New England drive. He only slowed down becuse he was tired, he wasn't showboating or anything. Champ Bailey is arguably the best CB in the NFL, and Denver scored on the next play.

More importantly, though, HERE WE GO STEELERS!
