nfo files?

What are these (.nfo) files for. I have an nfo viewer and when I view an nfo file it just comes up with a bunch of text about the program or other stuff. Is this all they are? Fancy text documents or something?

Yes nfo fies, the nfo im assuming is some 1337 extention for info, which is just a text file.

The proper NFO file is for Microsofts system information program, that comes with windows nt/2k/xp (im not sure if it comes with any of the 9x family). For saving your system config.

I see. Sometimes when you download programs they come zipped, rarred, aced, whatevered with NFO files.

Ah yes. I was reading a nfo file and it said crack type: keygen.

If only I knew how to keygen stuff....

It is an info file!

Usualy they come with game cracks and stuff (I said nuffin illegal)

Anyway to open Shift + Right Click and choose Open With. Choose Notepad.

It displays how to install the crack and stuff..............

i think its "tnt nfo viewer"
i have it somewere on my hdd

and to make sure you set the font to terminal when reading them
