Revolution.
From what I've heard, Black Edition isn't worth the extra money over the normal MW, all you get are a couple of un-tunable bonus cars, one more challenge, and a bonus DVD.

yup thats about it. Its to late now. I got it a week after it came out. Its ok though. I aint mad

The Autosave system in this game blows so much. You barely know when it's saving, and I corrupted my save file for the second time (my little cousin did it the first time) by turning my ps2 off AFTER it was done autosaving...I guess I didn't wait long enough. I might just trade the damn game in, I've gotten to blacklist #5 twice now, and lost my save file both times, I really don't think that I have the patience to play through it a third time. It's a shame, too, because it's a great game.

And yes, I know I can turn off autosave, which I'll do if I do decide to play this again.

I got the Black Edition on PS2 when it first came out, and I've beaten it twice. I loved the Heat 6x pursuit at the end, but I got through them a little too quickly. If I play the game through again, I think I'll try to mess around with the cops a little more.

My longest pursuit was 30 minutes, 17 seconds. I set out to beat Razor's rap sheet record and I ended the pursuit as soon as I passed the 30 min mark. I did it using the Gallardo(with full tuning) that I won from Ming, Blacklist member #6. I'll post more stats on it later.

If anyone wants to try getting a 30 minute pursuit, here's what I did:

I went to the 'Bounty' section, and chose location #12, deep in Rockport. It took me a couple tries to get my heat level up to 3x, since the 1x and 2x guys were pretty ineffective(kept losing/disabling them). After getting to 3x, things can move along nicely with the State Monaro units and Rhinos. Anyway, I messed around for a few blocks to get my 'Hit & Run' and 'Damage to Property' infractions. As a side note, it's important to get the 'Hit & Run' infraction early, because the traffic disappears as the heat level increases.

I later got onto the freeway by the outdoor concert hall in Rockport, and made my way toward Rosewood. Get to the college. I found it better to cut through the town of Rosewood itself and cause more property damage and get my 'Cost to State' up. On the town streets, there are also more places to dodge if you see Rhinos coming(I don't use the speedbreaker).

Once you get to the college, you can just race around the circle drive. The roadblocks are pretty predictable, and you usually have room to just drive around the really tough ones(with cars lined up behind each other). I do that when I can, because when I smash through one, my cars always tends to get hung up in the air, and I get busted.

When you decide you've had enough(preferably when there are only a couple police units behind you), go through the curvy wooded section toward the college stadium. You'll have two pursuit breakers to get rid of any pursuing cars, and a hiding spot right after the stadium.

Oh, and keep an eye out for a black Corvette when you're on heat level 5x. That is Sergeant Cross. If you can take him out with a pursuit breaker(he won't get close enough for you to hit him), you'll get a cool $100k added to your bounty.

Many happy pursuits to you!

PS-Another neat trick to get your 'Trade Paint' and 'Disabled Vehicles' count up is to smack all the police vehicles you can. For example, when my heat level changes up and a new vehicle comes, I try to disable the car from the old heat level. He's just going to run away eventually(too quickly for you to catch), so why not take him out and get yourself more bounty?

There's a heat behind #5?!

No clue...but I know x5 heat is the most painful thing ever. As soon as the Vettes got on my tail it was over. They pinned me into a wall and I was helpless. The worst part is, I only got to experience heat x5 for about 10 seconds :(.

heat level 6 is bloody hard..spesh when ur in that ****box beamer. its crap compared to others. trick to wasting the 5 mins b4 u get the message is to just go around a sort of track a few times to waste the time then when mia sends u the message check the map and go for it. that probly doesnt make sense what i just said...im off with the fairies tonight:dopey:

So which race is it against Razor to get x6 on me?

I've beat Cross a few times and got his ass once, but I want to see if what the rest is he throws at me.

You have to beat Razor in all five races first. There's a brief movie where you get the M3 back, and then you have to run away from the police. That's when the 6x heat comes in. The 6x heat involves black undercover 'Vettes and lots of Rhinos driving around(not necessarily ramming you).

When I did that pursuit, I ended up hiding out in the bus station. If you have someone on your tail, don't bother going in there, because they'll follow up onto the ramp. You have to be out of sight for it to work. I was just sitting on the ledge when I got the message from Mia, and then I went out to the bridge and ended the pursuit. When I was trying to get away, I tripped the pursuit breakers at the college stadium and took out Sergeant Cross and got $300k bounty. I think you only get that much for taking him out during the last pursuit, though, since I only got $100k on heat level 5x later on.

This game caused me to break my brand new controller and place a hole in my wall.

I had beaten Razor, outran Cross and his crew on the second try, got the call from Mia and headed towards the bridge. I got to the bridge and right once I hit the top of the bridge the damn game froze on me. So I would have had to do the whole thing over again had I not decided to trade the game in for MVP NCAA Baseball 06. Ugh. I'm still pissed off about that.

I started over for the third time now ,but this time on my 360.
I'm back up to black list dude #2.
I got the game for my 360 two days ago, so I gess I'm going through it kinda quick, but it's been fun.

PS. sorry to go off topic but I just noticed I'm now a senior member:) lol

REALLY try almost 10 minutes (to be exact 9'28.26) lost the sorry suckers in the construction yard and i had 64 on my butt in my all black SRT10 :D

fyfee That final pursuit is actually quite fun. Especially when you can fly past cross and turn a 180 and go past him in the other direction!!! hehehe... :D

Wow, this subforum is really dead... I just got it on Xbox. It is a pretty fun game, personally, I think it is second best in the series. (Hot Pursuit 2 is my favorite) It has some flaws, Freezes up A LOT, (Once or twice per Blacklist rival) especially when the cops are after you.

Still, it's fun. i'm only on Blacklist Rival #11 (Big Lou), and I'm working on getting the 300,000 bounty and completing the Milestones without it freezing. The Graphics are fine, and the Gameplay is whats important.

Drag Racing SUCKS and the rest on the game up to this point has been extremely easy.

Still, I really like this game, and it is one of the best street Racing games made so far.

Well I think you can reach heat 6 after beating Blacklist #1 - which means it shouldn't be just restricted to one race.

I dunno since I'm not that far yet and I don't expect to be that far anytime soon...until I learn better cop-evading skills.

I'd like to have a Level 6 Heat. EA's site says the Corvettes become black cop cars. The PC seems to just hit 5.
