Nice to know I'm not the only one getting sidetracked.

Got a bit of a surprise for those who don't know...

Unfortunately, I can't take a picture of the damn thing because I'm not on Live anymore but there's a Tier 5 and if you go to Quick Race, scrolled over to "Reward Cars" something very nice is waiting there. 👍

340Hp Ford Escort. Has a lot of power but handles like nothing else.

Porsche GT2 RS. My baby. :D

Shelby GT500. My other baby. :D
Astons 4 dinnuhr

Pictures can't describe how these cars handle. Oh, and I'm willing to share my Ford Escort settings with anyone.

Spent a bit of time making a 70s like Hakosuka GTR livery. It's still a work in progress, so only took a few quick screenies directly off my tv. It still needs to be refined, and I need to unlock number vinyls.

Now I'm not one to normally make liveries, but the Shift livery editor makes even simple shapes such a pain to make, and I had to fiddle and tweek for ages to get the stripe spacing correct using multiple layers. I'm looking forward to remaking this in Forza 3 and hopefully GT5.

Is that external oil cooler a tuning upgrade (oil cooler) or just some visual additive when you choose some race upgrades or something (replicating the original style racers)?

Visual additive when you get stage 3 bodykit from memory..

A taste of Tier 5, which is still locked. (It's actually in Loaner Cars and not Reward Cars, my mistake)

Look at those pipes! Must get 280 stars, now.

Jacoja: My shots are all 720p. Maybe it has something to do with your TV resolution.

Yeah, I think so. We have a nice 1080p telly sitting in our living room, but I cannot use it.
NFS's default controller settings annoy the hell out of me, so I'm forced to use the steering wheel in another room on the tiny low-res television. 👎

Problem will be solved once GT5 comes out. I'll be buying a nice HDTV then. :)

When taking pictures during replays how do you go about retrieving them? Are the saved to the PS3 HDD somewhere?

Ferrari Challenge's photo feature took ghastly pictures!

Hate to be a n00b and everything, but how did you get that body kit? All I can find are two of them - the final being the one featured on the same page as this shot.

Not completely sure, but this could be the Works kit?

And how does one go about getting that? I suppose that was my question in the fist place, using the picture as an example.

All I do is buy the available body kits - I've never seen a works option and I have to works compatible cars (apparently).

I'm not in front of the game right now, but if memory serves once you buy all available upgrades in the bottom right corner it will say something like "hit select(?) for the works upgrade" I think that is it, anyway. I'm talking about the PS3 version.

That is correct, there's also a progress bar to show what you still need to be able to buy it.

Upgrade your car completely till you have every single mod. (you only need the highest level bodykit though). Push select when you are in the car upgrades screen and you can buy the works kit then.

Basing this entirely off of the 360 version, as far as I can tell they're neither saved externally or even cached, they just go directly to Needforspeed.com.

It's the same on the PS3 version. Then you go on the needforspeed website and access them there with the e-mail address and password you set up with EA to play online.

Here's my metallic white Nissan GTR Spec V. It's 2 or 3 upgrades away from a Works upgrade. Handles like a BEAST, but for some reason my Mustang is faster from 0-60 by about .02 sec.. but it obviously doesn't handle as well as the Nissan.

Crappy quality :grumpy:
