I love the Silvia on this track. The car isn't too sensitive to anything in particular, but you still have to mind the rear. Qualifying was great fun; G_knap was pushing me to go faster and faster and I eventually clocked a 1'14.240. There was still time to be found as well!
First race ended up being a duel between me and G. The first corner of sector 2 was catching me out and that's were G overtook me after I had a moment on lap 5. I stayed close but I got greedy trying to get on the power early and completely lost it on lap 6. Race 2 went better though. I was in tire conservation mode all race but stayed close to G_knap. I overtook him at the end of the first stint after his tires were going off and pitted with a slight lead. Lucky for me, G was delayed ~2 seconds during his stop and he had to pick up the pace to catch up. He clocked fast lap with a 1'14.8 but hurt his tires in the process. We both caught Sy, who was leading on an impossible strategy, and passed him on the crossover corner. After that, my conservation started to pay off. I had a 1'16.2 on lap 17, 1'16.6 on lap 18, 1'17.3 on lap 19 and G fell back. My tires only fell off the cliff on the last lap. Good racing guys, was a lot of fun.

Can't believe I did all my testing on sports hard!! What a muppet!! So as you can imagine putting the softs on was quite a revelation. I was with you guys at the first sector then about a second off at the 2nd sector. Just didn't have the time to maximise the 360 crossover corner (my excuse anyway) lucky to get a 2nd in the 1st race after sag got sideways on lap 5 I think. Stupidly thought I could make the tyres go the distance in race 2, and they would of if it wasn't for them pesky kids!
I think I should of gone 75% distance then I may of stood a chance of catching after my pit. Congrats to sag and gnap after a win a piece and lovely pictures ace!

Ok Sy,thats stinks it was only 2 races left to go. But I know how you feel. More people the better. Plus no one was really keeping points or anything like that. True, it is a shame that everyone just left including the one who started this. I've been just showing up just for the fun of it.
Lately, I've noticed in other series, people start losing interest in series and just leaving it. Maybe its the bug or just the game getting old. I still enjoy it and keep on looking for another series that i'll be interested in.

I've seen two leagues you're in fold up recently Ace... Does this mean I'll see you at SCRL races in the near future?!... Our league is still goin strong as ever. I don't think it'll implode any time soon, as many seasons are planed. 8)

Racing for over an hour is not my style. I like shorter races. Sorry Earthbound.
Besides your series with the PP setting, you pick a car you know will be a real good contender on winning, like the car you chose below. Not much to compete with there. No offense but your kind of races aren't much filled with excitement...

33 second gap to 2 minutes doesn't seem like good close racing. Especially for long period of racing. Just not my type of style racing either. Sorry.
I agree that this series went south. But your series ain't really a full grid either, plus racers who leave during the race. Come on now yours is kinda "fizzling" as well. (unfortunetly) I'm not against anyone trying to keep a league going. Good luck to all who create one. Its hard keeping EVERYONE staying interested and excited about a "series". Goodluck with yours Earth:tup:

Well, there's not many of us left now. I must say it was very fun for me racing closely with you and g_knap in the last few races. There wasn't the complications of big grids, less pressure, it was more relaxed and respectful and it also ended up being very close racing between the 3 of us. I didn't practice but was still competitive jumping into the car, so it had the feeling of a small weekly meet rather than a race series. I'm disappointed it had to end like this with only two races to go.
Edit: No race today. I did a couple laps around Cape Ring Periphery and it wasn't very good in the Silvia anyway.
So I guess next week is the potentially-cancelled finale at the Nordschleife. I'm still optimistic somebody will show up for 1+4 laps of the northern loop in addition to myself and ace. G_knap? Syjones changes mind? xUXIOUSx finding some time? I don't know. We'll see what happens.

I was simply saying that's your opinion. You mad, friend. Is the point of a race not to compete.?.. Sure I like driving my '69 camaro, but will I ever choose it in an online race of any sort, let alone a league race. Just not quite sure of the point of your lengthy post.
That was the only race over an hr so far (& it was bonus w/ 2x points)and the only other one is Nurb 24h. Is driving 80 miles a night too much?... Seriously!... Take the total miles you've driven on your profile and divide it by say, 400(around the amount of days gt5 has been out, & I'm sure you haven't played gt5 everyday, so your avg miles per day will actually be higher) and if you get less than 80, then I'm a fool.
What I'm saying is 9 out of 10 gt5 players race more/longer than that anyway on/in any given day, so why not do it in a solid league.
About your "no excitement" quote, I'll have to beg to differ... Playing in 1 preseason race and 1 regular season race and leaving early from both DOESN'T qualify you to pass such vulgar judgement. Many races have been decided on the final lap and more than 10 racers have said the best racing they have done in gt5 has been in SCRL(not to mention that in the first 9 races, we've had 4 different winners = definitely competitive).. Like I said, your opinion, not a well educated one at that. Sorry I chose a ZZII(you or anyone else would be welcome to choose it too, I mean am I supposed to lose just because I'm the host!?), funny thing was I was faster in 3 other cars, but tire wear was best in the zz2. Yeah my league involves strategy, try and find thAt in a 15 minute race. I'll wish you luck in and with any league you join or make, because Fizzlers are everywhere in gt5, I know(had our fair share ourself). Would rather not have a full grid btw, because of the "online bug"... So basically our league size is perfect. I was only trying to kindly invite a friend back who signed up originally and looks to be down on his GTP-league luck. If not, then your loss. Peace bro! 8)
