I only wish the time of the race would be later.
My Mrs was not happy yesterday... :(
And who needs a unhappy Mrs?

Haha! Ain't that the truth :)

Didn't make it back in time for the races, obviously, but looks there was some happy campers come the flag.

Syjones. Who else?

The grid was messed up for the first race. I started in the pole position slot and Sy started last. I think it was Sy who set the 1'09.2xx time that was displayed as the best time so it should have been him in my place. My time was 1'09.600, so it certainly shouldn't have been me on pole. I think the problem happened because people were leaving the track and that sometimes messes things up.

I also noticed my car is slower on the straights than everyone else, very considerably so. On the back straight, at one point I was in Ace's slipstream after a better corner exit than him. But before I could get to his rear bumper, he pulled away while I was in his draft. Looking at the replay, he was regularly getting 5 mph more than me on the front straight. I also couldn't draft to overtake Sy in race 1 after he passed me. I know 535 PP is the only regulation, but I didn't expect the difference to be that drastic despite the hp/weight numbers people could be running. I could not pass Ace in the ordinary way and had to hope for mistakes from him to get by.

Really enjoyed race 2 yesterday but was to conservative over the first couple of laps and just couldn't close the gap to gnap while trying look after the tyres. Was hoping he would ruin his tyres in the latter stages and they did start to go as the gap came down to around 2 seconds but in the end I ran out of laps! Good fun though.

I'm running very low aero, and nearly 380bhp, and ace's car looked as slippy as mine through the corners.

Was a good couple of races last night, unfortunately my brake pedal kept sticking, hence I fell so far behind in race 1. At the end of lap 2, I unplugged in and got out my DS3 to finish the race. Not sure what the race was like up front, but it seemed pretty close for 6 laps until sy pulled away.

Race 2 after failing to fix my brake pedal, I was back on the DS3 again, and my inexperience of racing other cars showed on lap 1, braking into turn 1 I was very out of shape, then after the back straight I totally lost it, and a few laps later came up to the back of ace, for the rest of the race we kept swapping places (mostly due to mistakes), unfortunately I had a fairly big incident a few laps from the end, letting ace take the lead, however on lap 22 there were a few mistakes from ace, letting me catch up with about half a lap to go, however I never managed to get passed. Was a good race though ace, thanks :)

Congratulations to Sy and Gknap :)

Yeah, my tyres was quite worn at the end. I probably could have gone a bit faster, but didn't want to risk doing a mistake.
After all, its like a action-hero once said: "It doesnt matter if u win by a mile or an inch. Winnings winning."

I'm also running around 380bhp. areo is on the low side. Had my gears down too because of the short straights...Maybe thats why I was pulling away from you Saga.. ??

Good racing. I really enjoyed sundays races! And I didn't come last. Believe that?!!

Know wonder you were a loose as a goose in the corners. Think I was running 20bhp down on that. I like my arse end to be pretty planted in the all important corners ;)

Maybe thats why I'm slower then everyone in the corners. I think I have 387bhp to be exact. I lose my time in corners:yuck: But I do keep my rear downforce at the low end on certain tracks so it won't "kick out" as much.

Ah. I was running 353 hp, 1025 kg and max aero. No wonder the big difference in certain performance parameters.

What do you guys think of the new "tire wear"?? It's gonna be really interesting. I'll be in the pits atleast twice! :dopey:

Well ace, I've had a couple if races since and my feeling is that the wear feels the same but the indicator goes down quicker, which makes you panic a bit but it's not really all that bad.

Pitting should be interesting. Honestly, I haven't been driving the Silvia lately. So don't know how many times I'll be in the pits.:nervous: Got get some laps in now!
