1. cost money to fill it up and LEGALY its not supposed to be hooked up on the street.

2. turbos and superchargers are allowed to be hooked up

3. you can turn down the boost in turbos so it does not do as much damage to the engine, with a boost controller

4. nitrous bottles arnt hooked up to the engine are they?

5. nitrous is only good till it runs out, you cant run out of a s/c or a turbo

1. It's only like $4-8/lb. Legally? Aren't parts on cars that aren't OEM illegal?

2. Not necessarily.

3. Captain Obvious, is that you?

4. Via nitrous/fuel lines, yes.

5. Unless you're poor you shouldn't have that problem.

I really don't have a problem with it. I don't use it but I have a number of years ago.
I actually think it's hilarious when someone blows up their engine because they had no idea how to use it correctly.
I know that sounds mean but ......

I think actually moreso than a turbo. You actually have to tap into the intake manifold to run N2O, as opposed to "just hooking up the turbo pipe."(though I know it's much more complex than that....)

Nah, to me it's funnier when some kid buys a $4-6,000 turbo kit, and not only blows their motor, but fries their new turbo because they did something stupid like turned the boost up too much.
