Well it looks like there is no beta for GTSport. How do you feel about this? Does it confirm some of your fears about Kaz/PD? Don't mind waiting? Don't care either way?

I'm sure that, whilst some are obviously disappointed, I'd rather they spend the coming months in crunch time - fine tuning the game - than having to put time, money, people and resources into maintaining a public beta.

Not a problem for me, you know that game reviewers cough cough Eurogamer cough cough would trash it while forgetting that it's still in development, which could harm sales.

The Preview is supposed to be available tomorrow.
(Edit: but not as a download, so forget about it!)

While you may or may not be right @Johnnypenso , they had "pre-season testing" tonight. Which suggests there is a season to come. I'm not sure whether that "season" will just be for a few gamers or will something akin to GT Academy where everyone can take part. Also, when and what form that "season" will take, I don't think we know just yet, unless I've missed it in the 300 pages added to the "General Discussion" thread tonight  (sorry, not had time to read every post yet).

I'll try to keep my eyes and ears open tomorrow - it may be that the beta is going to be announced tomorrow as Milouse says. Someone previously suggested that it might end up being one of those "there is going to be a beta for GT Sport ... and its available to download now" sort of things.

So, I haven't voted in the poll yet for that reason. But my answer would probably be, "Doesn't bother me at all" as I would rather them spend the time finishing the game before November.

Honestly the most disappointing thing is that they've swept it under the rug, revealing it not happening only privately and just removing all mention of it elsewhere and not saying anything publicly. Right now it's as if they never promised one.

Unfortunately the way with PD, the are many things they offer, then silently remove or degrade later on..

PD's Leopard can't change its spots.

Honestly, knowing PD, I want them to spend as much time as physically possible on the main game.

i did not understand. what's now happening with GT Academy. It seems the partnership between Nissan and PD is over and the FIA GT Sport Series is now (beginning in 2017) the new "GT Academy" or what?

The people who were absolutely sure the beta was on time, 'early' was ambiguous and were confident in PD delivering seem to have gone very quiet.

Thoughts, @Zlork for example?
I was wondering when this would come up:lol:. I notice this thread is awfully quiet considering there was supposed to be a free beta of an AAA game from the world's most beloved racing franchise, after 2 and a half years of waiting on the new platform.

Didn't planned to take part in the beta, but to me this is not a good sign. Kaz's excuse about going gold stuff doesn't sound true to me. I mean, this should have been available to download, right ? And with a limited number of keys ?

I think they now lack confidence in their product and think releasing a beta would deter those who'd play it to buy the full game. Now this means either they are conscious of what's expected for the release (good), or they just want to force people to buy the game to see what's going on, thus enforcing the community to "commit" to a championship season (bad).

It certainly wasn't any different a process when he announced it in October. He knew what the process was. It's a poor excuse that ultimately just leads back to the simple fact they're running behind/out of time.

Every GT has been almost the same game with a few graphics and physics updates. It's not a huge stretch to say that each older game has been a beta for the newer one.

The only way I could see a GTS beta being a huge deal compared to GT6 is if they were showcasing a whole new sound-effects engine.
