No clue about tuning FF cars.

I made a thread before about chamber setting before, but now I've realized I have no clue about anything but the brakes. I noticed that the stock setting have the rear springs softer than the front, which is something I rarely do. I've also heard that they oversteer more with a tighter diff, opposite of all the other drive train types. Truth? What are some other suspension settings FF cars commonly benefit from?

The front tires wear out really fast too... Do I really just have to be THAT careful the throttle on corner exit? :indiff: ALSO I need it explained in gt physics not RL physics please.

I'm involved as a driver in Wallbanger's $1mil challenge. This is a tuner/driver competition. I'm a driver.

I'm doing this to try different tunes provided by the competing tuners and learn what the different changes do.

I cannot do a link to it(Lack of talent), so keep an eye out or search for it. You can see the tunes and even join in.

Ehhh I prefer to Start from scratch when I'm tuning my cars. I don't like to copy and paste another drivers tune on my cars. how they set up their cars won't be the same as what I would prefer. I just a few pointers.

In that case did you read the material in the sticky thread on top titled, "GT5 Tuning Guides"?

Best place to start.

That's ideal for an FF in GT5. The settings look silly on paper but they work. I usually have my front springs at 3x the stiffness of the rear. So 9.0/3.0, 12.0/4.0, etc.

Wow 3x tighter, does that apply to dampeners and roll bars also?

Dampers yes, but for roll bars, you'll want a stiffer rear instead. Maybe 1.5-2x stronger at the back. I usually stick to 2/4 or 3/4.

you don't have to copy someones FF tune, but that FF shoot out has some of the best tuners with a variety of different cars. Check them all out and you will see they are all quite similar. Whatever car your tuning just try the same style of settings and adjust from there what needs to be fixed.

I'm sorry, I didn't mean copy the tunes. I meant that you could read them, or even try them to learn how others set up cars. Then go from there. That's what I'm doing.

Ya thats what im suggesting. I was talking to the poster of this because he said he didn't want to copy someone elses

All of the above. I'd recommend dipping into the FF Challenge, link supplied above. It'll show you a number of different ways to skin the cat. Pay attention to VTiRoj and his bretheren, they know how to get a FWD car moving...
