Check this out, I did it with Image Ready, mostly by hand.

Too bad it's too big of a file for GTPlanet ... Image Ready wouldn't "optimize" it less than 30kb. Sucks, eh?

I think there could be a future for it in hybrid powered vehicles. The rotor is smaller and more efficient, and teamed with a good sized electric, they could get some killer miles/gallon (or liter).

They're also being used a lot in small aircraft and unmanned aircraft. I'm too lazy to get sources for you though (:
