Sony Ericsson W900 specifications.

I like the style of the Nokia more, but to use and in terms of spec I prefer the Sony, I've not had an exstensive play around with a N91, I have with a W900, but I already know the OS the N91 is using.

I prefer the W900's design and style more and like the specifications of the N91 better lol. Still i am yet to experience both phones, i think i'll be able to make a fairer opinion then. Also wandered how their music features were like?

 I get to play around with all the latest phones, the Sony is pretty much like you'd expet a Sony to work. The Nokia is the same again, but how you'd expect a Nokia of that type to work. At the end of the day though if you just want them for their music abilities, buy an MP3 player. If you want one to be trendy, buy the Sony.

I get to play around with all the latest phones.

How is that, awesome nonetheless! you wouldn't have happened to play around with the N91 or P990i ?

I have a pre-production P990i, I've had a go on an N91 but only a brief one.

I buy and sell mobile phones as a self employed professional.

Oh ok, that makes more sense now. :D

Pre production P990i, amazing. How buggy is it? or how good is it lol, and when you played around with the N91 did you get any more feedback into why the the model is being delayed?

It's great, I've had no software problems with it, all the featuers work that I've been able to try, not used a few things like the Wi Fi yet. As always what I have and what goes into the shops might not be the same, the one thing that SE have said they were doing is optomising power usage, the battery life could be better but thats an issue they were aware of and in the process of fixing.

With the N91, the phone felt pretty sound, Nokia delayed production because of the specs of new phones just coming out or just announced, there was one or two that were better than Nokia expected I guess. They arn't changing anything hardware wise, but the software on the phone is being given a go over and they're hoping make it more fuctional and allow compatibility woth more formats and devices than it was. The delay may be upto 4 months.

I believe SE are getting better with thier battery life though, the W800i is just magnificent in terms of power usage. It's the N91 which i am worried about. I feel the battery is not good enough for such a specced device.

It's good to hear the N91is going to be compatible with more devices, that is one of the down points for SE, limited connectivity with a range of other software etc. The delay being 4 months would push the possible release of this device into the second quarter ? - not good news for N91 enthusiasts lol. So we should now expect an April release right?

I'd say expect a March or April release, January is a definite no and Feb is alsmot as good as imo.

The P990i does have a superb range of possibilities with connectivity, theres also the possibility of transferring files between your P990 and your PS3, the extent of which is not yet known but I'd expect transefiing game saves, pictures, music and videos ect. The target battery life for the P990i is over 2 weeks standby, on mine it's closer to 1 week, but as I said SE were aware of that before I even got mine.

That looks very promising. Didn't know it could sync with PS3 and have a standby time of over 3 weeks is simply amazing! When is it due for release anyway. I heard first quarter?

Yep, first quarter this year, nearly said next. It's slated for Feb, but theres still possibility of late this month.

lol, i know the feeling, i still think we are in 2005 and that next year is 2006 lol. So the P990i will definetely come out before the N91 then.
