I don't get the love for the FW17-18-19... Sure, the livery is good, and sure, it was successful, but its nose is only just slightly less ugly than the MP4-10's.
Styles of beauty go in and out of fashion....

Life L1-nah, just kidding. :sly:

In all seriousness:
Jordan 191 - the car that got Eddie Jordan a cease-and-desist letter from Porsche before he changed its name.

Ferrari 643 - probably the best looking truck in the world. :sly:

First: Tyrrell 019 (especially for his front wing and the color scheme)

The Lambo was on my preliminary short-list briefly. Love the colour and how it's framed in some of the head-on shots but it doesn't half reek of junior formula. The angle of the sidepod intakes makes it look especially daft in that last shot.

Also reminds me of vacuum-packed clothing. Albeit less wrinkled.

The early 90's F1 cars are my absolute favorite. So this was a tough one for me.

Let's get the obligatory nomination out of the way. Quite possibly the most beautiful F1 car ever.

I had a really hard time choosing between the McLarens.

I've always had a soft spot for Leyton House cars. Part of it is the color scheme. The other reason is nostalgia from playing MicroProse Grand Prix (actually was World Circuit here in the states). I loved that aqua color car as a kid.

For my final nomination, while I prefer the longtime traditional noses to the stepped noses, there is still something striking about the early-mid 90's Benettons. I picked the 1994 version again because of the color scheme. I guess I'm a sucker for light blue and green.

What I love about the 197, 198 and 199 are the oval airboxes. Such a subtle design cue but they're just great.

Nominations close at 10pm GMT. 👍

Oops, almost forgot about this. I'd like to nominate:

1. Ferrari 641
2. Lamborghini 291
3. McLaren MP4/6
4. Leyton House CG901

Narrowing it down to 4 was colossally hard, despite me being a 1996 boy, the 90's is easily my favourite era, the super sexy cars being one of many reasons why.

1996 Williams FW18
While the FW19 may be my favourite F1 car of all time, the cluster of sponsors on the nose hurt what was otherwise, a perfect livery. As such, its predecessor for me is the best looking Rothmans Williams.

Scarlet Red? Yes. Low nose? Yes. Black wings? Yes. Big #1 for the world to see? Yes. Does it get any better? No.

1997 Jordan 197 (Hockenheim & Monza aero)
Probably my most driven car on F-1 World Grand Prix (N64) as a kid, the striking yellow, snake art on the nose, red TOTAL detail on the top, it had serious character! Something sorely missing from liveries these days. The car that made me fall in love with F1.

1998 Williams FW20
A livery heavily criticised back when it was launched, history has been kind to it. Only Frank Williams would dare paint his cars red to annoy Ferrari. The nose sponsors work so much better on this car than the FW19, I just wish I could have seen this livery on a 1997 spec car without the ghastly grooved tyres.

No love for this beast then?

1999 Ferrari F399

Everything about looks neat, tidy and purposeful, probably one of the only cars to make grooved tyres look good.

The other choice would be the Williams FW14B, a very simple looking elegant car hiding a lot of cutting edge technology.
