Non-linear throttle

I just received my CSL DD PRO with CSL Elite pedals V2 with PSVR2 and GT7, stunning experience, but the throttle is absolutely not linear. All is updated to the last firmwire. Same things with my old CSL regular DD with Heusinkveld sprint (with linear curve saved) and Drive Hub.

Weird thing is that on the pedals calibration page of GT7, the input is linear, but once I start a race, it's not.

I am completely new to wheel and pedals. I wondered and started googling because of this. I have the same issue on the T-LCM pedals. Only on GT7. ACC, Wreckfest and even Snow Runner 😂 seem to work normal. Is this normal for GT7? Why? Seems pretty stupid to not use the 0-100% properly, its much harder to feather the throttle nicely.

No one is complaining about non-linear throttle/brake in 2024?
Here goes:
WTF Polyphony?! It's even more of an issue with the new physics!
I just don't get the reason for this to happen!

Might need a litte more detail about... "this"??

Time to revive and detail the issue:

Both throttle and brake have a progressive 'mapping', at least since GTSport and it continues in GT7.

For example, although the readings in the controler menu show the correct pedal travel or force (in case of my loadcell brake), the way it translates in-game is not that linear. 50% throttle travel gives 25% pressure in-game. 75-100% trottle travel, translates to 50-100% pressure in-game.
This happens in a similar way regarding the brakes.
This makes driving a bit more difficult to modulate trail-braking, releasing the brakes will make your car rotate too agressivelly...
It's worst still with loadcell, making it jumpier when heel-and-toeing.
Managing traction is also more difficult due to the small travel - big effect that results from this progressive mapping.

I know it all tends to be less relevant the more you practice, but still, with the current physics, it makes even more sense to at least give players the option for a linear travel mapping for both throttle and brake.

FYI, I'm using a Fanatec CSL Elite with 3 pedal set (with 'standard' Load Cell brake setup to 50%)
