I'm just curious as we haven't heard anything for weeks, more like month...

The game already is on sale for 30€ in stores! And with the limited things to do or drive in GTS, it doesn't surprise me.
Christmas is around the corner and if PD wants to get something from this sweet xmas cake, they need to come up with something soon! Tracks, cars, better events, you name it...

Dont get me wrong, I absolutely love this game and especially the livery feature (I tent to spend the most time in there now). But the sport mode needs some serious rework, as its pretty damn boring by now with those fixed settings and limited choices.
Also, Gr1 cars still have no place in this game (for whatever reason) and with all those VGT cars and slow hatchbacks, the only cars left for racing are some Gr.3 and gr.4 cars.....but thanks to the fixed settings, everyone drives the same cars as they're seem to be faster than others. Damn, I start rambling again

Nonetheless, we need Content PD!

Here in France, You can find GTSport for 15euros in stores! The next step is to offer the game as a cereal box toy.

This from someone who doesn’t usually buy any DLC, but considering the price drop in the base game is this a good thing for the consumer in regards to the price of any DLC?

DLC for GTS is supposed to be free! At least that's what Kaz said....
If, of course, there will be any DLC ever :boggled:

Well most of games released at the same time, now have same price as GTS in Czech. Black friday, nothing unusual, it has nothing to do with GTS.

Was just thinking the same a couple of days ago - a little bit more transparency would be great - maybe a plan for game updates or something of this kind would be appreciated by the community. Being silent and not giving any info about the future of the game is frustrating and I really love the game.

maybe because I believe I heard that PD takes long time to fully-scanned car and put it into the game. Maybe currently at this stage?

I mean it seem kinda foreseenable that Cars from SEMA Awards and whatever GR.2/Super GT/DTM/Class One is put among the first DLC/Free Updates

Still. No words from PD that DLC will be coming by <a estimated timeframe> is questionable

Like the above comments , at least a planned roadmap would be more than fine

There’s a Gtplanet news article from a year ago:

https://www.gtplanet.net/gt-sport-players-wont-be-kept-waiting-for-dlc/

If the DLC is ready, would releasing it this year have a negative effect on holiday sales?
Which only says it won't be a year, and that it'll be put out quickly "after a certain period of time"...
Wait? Really? I'm pretty damn sure I read that all cars will be free!? :dunce:
You may well have read it, but neither Sony, PD, nor Yamauchi have said it.

He did say there would be no microtransactions though. That's often confused with paid DLC, but just means that there's no mechanism for buying an in-game currency with real money.

But still, after a month of testing and tweaking, it's time they finally find a clear line for sport mode. It's not like we tested over months in the beta...
It's like they don't know what to do, where to go, with the sport mode. Still only 3 events, and even not simultaneously... Always the same 3-4 tracks, everyday... Damn, they did a very long beta + a short one, and they are still thinking...............

I'm just hoping for any news before November ends, and the actual update arriving in December. I hope we get the McLaren P1 and Porsche 918 in the first batch, the LaFerrari could seriously use some company. Though I wouldn't mind a Veyron SS, Pagani Huayra or Koenigsegg 1:1 tossed in there :D

I feel the gamers aren't ready for racing with group 1 cars.
All the dumb trolleys seem to think gr.4 is to slow for them usually (at least judging by the races I participate), will jump from gr. 3 to gr.1, it will be mayhem. Apart from the amazing speed, also they have huge differences in handling, braking points, some are hybrids, others not, etc.

Before DLC I would like to see some obvious problems assessed first to let us make use of the cars and tracks available:
- It's BS that only some of the users have access to the browser based functions of the game.
- No signs whatsoever of an effort to fix the penalty system (essential to even think on racing with gr. 1 IMHO)
- Maybe not dynamic weather for now, but why not wet races (I know, there is seriously graphic modeling involved)? Why bother putting the wet tires on the tuning menus?
- Don't own a wheel/pedal set, but many people complaining about serious issues with it, specially as they are sold with he "Official GT Sport" tag. Just address this issues

It's PlayStation Experience in 2-3 weeks where Sony have stated it's presentation will mostly be updates to existing and forthcoming titles.
GTS is not listed for this event, unfortunelately...

Good point.BTW there is not going to be dynamic weather (or time) in the game. That is not going to change.
But we expect the "wet" races at some point. When?PD knows that.

Thought so,

I think that we really need to consider PD’s track record, eyes open as it were, that its not coming as soon as we would like, purely speculative.

"I think a certain period of time after release we’ll start putting it out fairly quickly.”

I can't imagine a more vague statement... He THINKS that after a CERTAIN period of time they will start putting it out FAIRLY quickly... so not quickly, just fairly quickly.

We should also recognise that any DLC that PD puts out needs to fit in with the fortcoming Championship season. I expect there to be DLC before April 2018 because of that and likely it will come in base , Gr3, 4 etc versions for each car (not duplicates).

I suspect that it will be more cars than tracks though as they can be BOP'd easier. I'm sure you have noted that there is one real track location per "geographic" region (including UK). It was clearly very tightly controlled for some reason.

Kaz did mention SuperGT in a tweet plus theres been mention of drift cars being scanned. SuperGT would likely make the most sense from a Championship perspective.

ps whatever is delivered I'm sure it won't be enough or the wrong type of DLC for many as that is way of the world......cue dlc diappointment threads after initial hype.....

It is, as both regular, and PSVR mode setups.

But I was specifically referring to the Friday night showcase where news and reveals will be presented. It'll be streamed live.

There is something we cant understand, they are japanese, their workflow and feeling about finished product or work is absolutely different. I think if you enjoy the game atm, everything will be 100% better after new stuff arrive. They just need to polish base we are already playing on, we know that - they know that. After that you can focus on additional content.. From then nothing can go wrong, if they continue with attitude they have.

Totally agree - they very clearly have a different approach and they have a very good base to build from but it will be at their own time and own way. Despite some misteps on GT5 and GT6 I personally feel the approach is a sense of continous improvement and PD have a huge pride in their work as shown by this polished product that puts quality before quantity.

it's pretty evident that their focus is currently on their test races. you only have to dig up all of the bug footage of bad rolling starts to see how behind the ball they are on that stuff. i'm sure all of those technical issues are throwing a wrench into some of their planned events right now and wouldn't be surprised if it was an "all hands on deck" moment for people at the office

I agree more content would be welcomed. However, it's only been a month. Why has patience grown so thin?

I think its the huge stepdown from 1000+ cars and the very small track count along with a lack of substantial career mode that is causing people to be become impatient.

Variety is the spice of life and I've seen alot of people say there isn't much variety to be had from GT:Sport in its current early life cycle state.

Cant wait until a week after we finally get a DLC update for people to start complaining about not having a 2nd DLC announced and ready to go.

Oh and I also cant wait for the first DLC update to not include everything that everyone wants and people to start complaining about that too.

Imagine what will happen if people need to buy those DLC when they come....
