hey I might be on board with that... it might keep the casual gamers away haha

I am sure it could keep people that wont see worth behind that DLC pack -in the case of paid DLC.Not "casuals" necessarily.BTW the game is for "everyone" so why do you want to see casuals stop playing it?
BTW (imo) casuals are the main player base of GT.If they go then the game would propably die.

Online racing would probably become a bit cleaner and isnt that what everyone around here wants? A quick browse through the first page of threads in this forum would make it seem so

I agree that most people want to enjoy clean races. On the other hand casual does not equal "dirty" and "non" casual are not all clean drivers.I dont get your point.

There are exceptions to every rule. Are we gonna act like there are more people that want clean races yet themselves race dirty than more casuals that happen to race dirty due to inexperience? My point here is pretty obvious

Because there isn't enough CONTENT in the game?
There is not enough content? Its online racing, point of it is to be perfect on every track - to be prepared compete with everything you have learned/practiced. Are you ready for every track? Same for cars, every car feels different (with all asssist off and TCS 0), learing new car on some tracks is absolutely different experience and you have to spend some time with it. I think main problem is, that people are not getting point of what this game supposed to be.

Like last daily on Nürburgring, 90% of drivers were just absolutely awlful, but still complaining about content, and yet nobody spent some time to practice on this amazing circuit.

Yes. Weren't the "causals" and with people that quit GT for Project Cars and Assetto Corsa (and people with PCs and iRacing) and the game would be close to a fiasco.

I agree more content would be welcomed. However, it's only been a month. Why has patience grown so thin?

Indeed we have to be patient. The 350 DLC cars were promised to became available during the game lifetime, so could be anytime in the next 3 to 5 years...

Where was this promised? First I've heard of this...

I get the impression you are using that as an excuse for the LACK of CONTENT in the game. There isn't enough of it.

The game definitely needs more content but keiweux does have a point. Especially about the Nurb race the other day. I finished 2nd WELL ahead of the rest of the pack. I dont even want to know what happened back there. I even had a few offs myself and was never challenged by 3rd

I don't think a DLC beofre 2018 will affect game sales.
They can easily release what everyone has been waiting for and that's also the reason why some people still don't have the gane in their hands.
They can easily make it a bundle also like other games.
For example: GT Sport + [name] DLC for 69.99€/$

Same with GTA V + Shark Card Bundles.
Who knows?

I just think that a promised DLC will not affect game sales. Instead, it will help the sales rise.

Also, if they are still unable to make a decision and even the DLC gets a delay... A lot of people will stop their GTS career there.

I wonder which possibility would be sooner to implement, more courses from PD or a more comprehensive penalty system in Project Cars 2?

Was there DLC for GT5 Prologue? I wouldn't hold my breath.
There was few updates, they have included the High Speed Ring in the 2.0 update (Japanese version since the western version already came with the 2.0 update) and various new cars and features with both the 2.0 and 3.0 update such as that Citroën by GT concept car.

The DLC will NOT be free. At least not all of it. There may some "throw the gamers a bone" kind of dlc for free, but the majority of it will be paid. If you are hanging your hat on this game based on free dlc I'm afraid you are going to be very disappointed.

It somehow feels like I've been playing this GT for a year now. Maybe it is because it only contains 10% of Gt6? Or the lack of options in sport mode? Idk, there just isn't much drive for me to race against 10 beetles every week. Or GTRs in the first 2 weeks... (I just want tuning back to be honest :P)
But you're right, we all did get a little impatient the last years. But then again, Kaz shouldn't throw around words like "GTS will have up to 500 cars" or "we dont have to wait long for DLC"
If I say things like this in my company, I better deliver :lol:

Thats why I want tuning back in sport mode! I want to set up cars for any track and situation. Pick the right tires, set the gear ratio and so on...
But right now, if I want to win, I have to pick the fastest car and thats it. I dont have to worry about anything. No fuel loss, no tire wear, no changing weather, nothing. The only thing is bad drivers, I give you that :scared:
But you can't control that...ever! Just look at Magnussen

I think its the huge stepdown from 1000+ cars and the very small track count along with a lack of substantial career mode that is causing people to be become impatient.

Variety is the spice of life and I've seen alot of people say there isn't much variety to be had from GT:Sport in its current early life cycle state.

If that was the case people would then moan that it takes too long to get every car in the game and its a pointless trudge through X levels of championships to "beat the game".

Literally, they can't win. PD have made an accessible, easy to play game that you can have fun with no matter how good or bad you are. You don't have to screw around with game and then car settings forever, you can just start it up and go race.

If its getting boring and doesn't have enough content for some I presume they've already won every online race and the FIA championships ?

Maybe what PD should do is release a half assed game with lots of features, give details of DLC before the game even releases and let it go out with a stack of bugs in it ? Seems some games get a free pass if they do that.

We know PD are actively working on more cars and possibly tracks too. They don't do anything fast, never have, never will.

The game is likely to get DLC in 2018 imho, lets wait and see.

I can forgive them lack of content only if DLC is free. If not, I won't give them a penny ever again. Either release a game with at least as much content as competitors or don't, but give us free DLC. Or price the game accordingly and that would be 30-40e at best.

Given the lack of content overall, I think PD would be stupid to not provide the first good bit of DLC (whatever that may be) for free. Had this game launched with more in terms of cars and tracks, then they would be in a far safer position to charge. As it is right now, much of the consumer base seems to be very on edge about PDs next move...

Let's be honest, gaming as a service is kind of the new thing everyone is heading towards, but obviously everyone is going to go crate-crazy like EA, Activision and Microsoft
