I'm almost positive there will be no update as a result of this maintenance. It is highly likely that there was a major issue with the online servers that needed correcting, or PD are preparing them for an update that will be released in the coming weeks. Nothing to see here.

It's a track that PD has been holding since February but only recently was it put into game data though it hasn't been unlocked for us yet.

This allows you to drive freely around the area of Willow Springs and simulate off-roading in the Sahara desert. What? It was Zahara you wanted? No, no, see, the work experience kid got the "S" the wrong way round when he wrote our press release. We binned the course maker and that silly track months ago. It's easier to reuse assets already in-game, as you've probably noticed.
