I'll probably be using the Clio as well as the F430 (for some practice in the custom PAL PP650 Ferrari F430 event we have here on GTP). My usual lap time in a race with Clio is in the low :04's. The F430 is usually in the mid-high :05's. I'm not super consistant with the F430 though.

Oh, man, that was just so frustrating it hurt. Not fun at all.

I'm in an Impreza (best thing I've found yet which isn't saying much) and I show up at 10 and there's nothing but two Tuned Clios. One is GTP_Vaxen and the other is some other guy. I think he might have punted Vaxen at one point 'cos I passed both of them in a sort of T-bone formation. (edit- hi Zissou, guess it wasn't on purpose- but you guys did wreck, or I'd NEVER have caught you!) I didn't punt anybody- that's why the Impreza, I've been able to make it go where I want. Except this time it wanted to play in the sand rather a lot... so it was just go around and around, increasingly loosely, watching the Clios get farther and farther ahead.

Yuck. I'm going to go look into NSXen so at least the damn car isn't totally outclassed. There must be a reason I don't see anybody else racing '07 Imprezas. It would be a lot of fun on a rally track tho!

Yeah, but Vaxen's Division 2 Gold and you're competitive with him. I kinda need some Division Crap racers who aren't punters to play with, or it's pointless.

NSX would be pointless for me too- I got one and tried it. Certainly fast, but DAYUM, it's like a Yellowbird. Really wants to spin so very much that's not going to work for me.

It's a pity Scoobies aren't faster because the point-and-shoot sort of driving for massively spinny cars is no fun for me, I want to be able to have the whole car a bit sideways and still be able to wrestle it to do what I want. Maybe I need to fool with the Audi R8 some more. I remember that as being not quite so twitchy as the NSX...

I feel you pain, the tuned Clio is really good and a heck of a lot of FUN. If you dont wanna go that route check out Dutch Customs tuning thread, great setups on Ferrari California & my favorite car at Suzy Ferrari F430.

I had a race tonight with a GTP member and I would like to apologize to him for bumping him in the first corner. I didn't expect him to brake so hard. I ended up finishing 3/3 in that race because I screwed up and spun out with two laps to go so I just gave up.

Thanks Daddy- I am trying a 430 and it turns out I like it pretty well. Much less insane than the NSX and lots faster than the Impreza- I'm getting close to a 2:10 in just my first few hours with it though I can't do anything like that in online racing (pushing too hard and unable to focus on the unfamiliar car)

I bet it's going to end up being the one I use. I'll be the white Ferrari 430 bringing up the rear
