NTSC: Expert Suzuka 650pp 10 laps: xx:00, xx:30

I can't wait to have some heated battles with my fellow GTPer's!

so far, I've only had one other player in all the times I've raced this event. I was 5 seconds or so faster a lap then them so no challenges yet...
 
Did 3 races tonight all 3 had only 3 cars, come on NTSC guys support great events like this or we wont have them next time.
 
I've read many times, that it's much less drivers in NTSC... what is your opinion guys, why is it that way? There is so many peoples living there, and motorsporting is very popular. Is GT-brand somehow unknown there, or do basic-gamers like more arcade style games?

I feel sad that NTSC and PAL need to be separated... cant understand why, but that must be somekind of nerd-issue.

Well there prob are less players on NTSC side and seems a lot of the guys I know all they wanna run is Daytona Oval even on beginner events. It can be quite maddening. I gotta get a PAL version, but if I do that I will get BLOWN away every race.:)

Really to sum it up guess more NTSC guys like Ovals.

This latest offering from PD is awesome,it pulled me back in more than I have been as of late,quite rusty,but I'm back in.

+1. Actually I bought my PAL copy already. I know I will get my "behind" kicked, but I see as an opportunity to gain experience to run with PAL guys.
For some reason I realize that NTSC guys don't have enough commitment to the events planned so...

Lets hope that for the full release of GT5 people gets more enthusiastic about running online with GT5...

Not so Daddy !!!! You, Twistybits and plenty of other NTSC owners are plenty quick enough !! There are more drivers on PAL for sure and probably more punters as well but the cream always rises to the top my friend.

Your too kind my friend,I agree with ya about Twisty he's very tuff to keep up with.
 
I will try to show up more often on NTSC Expert 650pp Suzuka. Probably in a tuned elise mostly. I'm crap but there's not much less reward for losing, and I have been known to intentionally play in the sandbox just so I can fight it out with another driver more- I'm happiest trying to get to the front while not ramming anybody because it's so challenging :)

Some of the intermediate races are fairly busy, but it can be pretty ridiculous. The lonely Expert Suzuka race is better for actually, you know, racing :)
 
I just had a funny half hour in this race. I'm in an Impreza, and I get this punter in a Ford GT. I let him lead into the first corner only to discover he can't drive at all- he's puttering the thing around the corners like it frightens him. I spend a few laps doing things like letting him get ahead and then catching him up as fast as I can, only to discover him doing things like parking directly on the driving line in hopes I'll ram him. So I do the same thing, deciding it's "be silly, and when the silly is over we are both paid for it pretty well". I'll even let him win.

Unfortunately after one of my drive-into-the-kittylitter, let him go well ahead and then catch him up like a mad thing, he figures out I'm playing with him. You'd think he'd at least enjoy the attention but no- first he drives off, then he disconnects. So I finish up, only to discover if you're the only guy left you get paid nothing.

But I did turn a 2'11"87 in one of those lonely final laps, which is good for me, so it wasn't all bad :)

You did whip my tail pretty good when I was in F430 yesterday though. I am a little faster in Clio or WRX - STI

No I was in a red F430, it runs 2'09s,you were in a Clio. Have since tuned a Clio,& a WRX - STI there a little quicker. But still way behind rmk700.:crazy:
 
I'm in the Clio in the low 2:08's as well, but I can never find a race. It's always me and one other person. And it just turns into a practice session after the 2nd lap when I'm leading by 20+ secs. Where the hell is everyone!! :(

Very true, seems the only ones showing in this event are noobs,or frikin drifters. I guess most NTSC guys just want to go round & round at Daytona Intermediate.:dunce:

I some how managed to get into the high 2'06s but thats well off the fast pace in the Clio's.

With over 60 on my PS3 Friends list most evenings there may be 15 to 20 online at BEST. And out of those mayby 6 or 8 playing GT5P when I try to find a race with some one I know there mostly racing Daytona Oval or the 550 events, which I find so boring its no fun at all. By NO means am I one of the FAST guys online but if I'm gonna bother to go online I want to do something besides go round in circles.

I've tried that race a few times and only got one other person on track with me. We need to set up a solid time that several people will agree to enter. I would like to see a full field. :)
