The Endurance classics of the 24h of Le Mans, and the 24h of the Nurburgring are coming up on September 19th and 20th, and Septemeber 26th and 27th, respectively.
And, traditionally, GTPlanet forums organise a 2.4h race on the tracks mentioned, right before the IRL event, as a way to celebrate it. However, much to my surprise, no such thing has happened this year, perhaps because said races took place on the original June date. That said, im hoping to fill in that missing gap with my own 2 hours and 40 minute races.
The 2h40m of Le Mans will be held on Friday, 11th of September 2020 (one week before the Le Mans 24h), while the 2h40m of the Nurburgring will be held on Friday, 2nd of October (one week after the Nurburgring 24h).
Lobbies will be open at 19:10 UK Time, and Qualifying will begin at 19:45 UK Time (Please check current time zone). You must be in the lobby by 19:45, or you will not be able to start the race.
I do realise the Le Mans race will take place with a very short notice, but once again, I'd like to mention that i'm only doing this as no other races have been organised and that, had I known this would be the case, i would have prepared for this much earlier.
You do NOT need to take part in both races. If you can only attend one, thats OK!
Both races will be aimed for drivers of ALL skill levels. It's meant to be fun and have a relaxed feel to it. That being said, the racing needs to be fair and respectful. Also, i highly reccommend that drivers with a DR of A of higher choose to race on the top class, and that drivers with a DR of B or lower decide to race the lower paced class. Heavy damage will be turned ON, as i feel like a major point of Endurance Racing is to keep the car safe and out the of the walls. Yes! Heavy Damage at the Nurburgring 24h layout!
