Maybe there should be an option if you are hosting a racing lobby and some prick decides to drive backwards down one of the long straights, they should get automatically kicked.
Maybe there should be many options, so people dont have to "invent" their own races.

I think we all can agree- proper drag strips (Las Vegas in GT4 doesn't count), or don't even bother allowing for drag racing. I'm more of a road racing guy who doesn't mind watching some drag races. I think Gran Turismo, for bringing in rally racing and stock car racing, needs a proper and complete facility for drag racing. Nürburgring and Special Stage Route 7 aren't going to cut it. Proper drag racing on proper drag racing facilities will be a welcome addition for drag racing GT fans rather than set up these free runs on circuits.

The only exception would be if proper circuits with proper drag strips were included. There's only been one real-world track in GT history with a drag strip as part of it (if I'm not mistaken), and that's Infineon Raceway from GT4. Other cool additions would be if Heartland Park Topeka or Mantorp Park were featured. Both of which, having drag strips either adjacent to or part of the course.

Make a free run room with "No Drag/Drift" in the title. It's what I do.

I personally hate going into a free run to do laps only to find people drag racing and drifting, especially on good tracks like Indy, the straight before the chicane can be a warzone. However, it's up to the host. If the host allows it, I either deal with it or leave. You have the same option.

Having drag strips added to the game would really help though. Maybe post in the feedback section.

Doesn't Indy Road Course have an actual 1/4 mile drag strip? I thought it did.

I think you're referring to Indianapolis Raceway Park (nowadays O'Reily Raceway Park), which is not far from Indianapolis Motor Speedway.

Your just slow I bet and filled with hate.

Dont knock it until you try it Frodo..

There is a reason people do not give out Drag Tunes unlike Racing Tunes!!!

i dont want to test it because its boring... and IF i want to try... i bet i can set up self a nice tuning

by the way i think the most "people" that doint "drag races" are 12-15 year old kids because they cant win on the whole track, so they do drag races

Trying to uncode your post Frodo. We clearly have different backgrounds and I will leave it at that.

I am down for all types of racing!!!

Thats just it, after the tuning, it is just pressing the button and see who goes faster(unless you wanna get pro with it then you can press another button to shift:dopey:).

I have found a very good way to ruin drag racers days. get in the tank car, park sideways in the middle of the track, put the break on. go and have a cup of tea.

if you are feeling very mean, build up speed and ram them as they line up and watch them all go flying!!

Tomorrow F.B.I. will knock his door, destroy GT5's disk and delete the savegame. They'll give him a copy of Ridge Racer.

You knew where I was going with that question didnt you.

Question can you avoid players online similar to the Xbox system. Where you can add a gamer tag to avoid in online?

I've never needed to really just curious.
