Yay, I won!! I'll write a little more after I have dinner
THANK YOU, SkylineR88.
Well, I started the race in 2nd place after a not so brilliant qualifying (7.13 or 7.14), slipped back to 3rd after the exit so that we wouldn't crash into oblivion
Then SkylineR88 who was right in front of me made a slight mistake and I managed to overtake him! Then, at the end of the first "straight" both the 1st (can't remember the name, I think it was De*something* and was using a 380RS) and I took a little walk through the grass and I came out 1st. Some turns later Badzzer93 (or something) caught me and eventually overtook me. Again, I tried to wait as close to him as possible waiting for a mistake, and it worked as I got back to 1st place again. So ended the first lap.
The 380RS catched up with us and stole the 1st position from me as I understeered out of a corner (I think, lol). We had a close and laggy battle on the not-so-sunny side of the circuit, he touched the grass and fell back. I think he disconnected a little later.
I, then, had a somewhat comfortable gap of 15 seconds with the guy in 2nd position, GTP_2fast4thestig (correct me if I'm wrong please) at the start of the 4th lap. We had 40km to go and the battles I had in the first two laps had quite an effect on my front tyres. Half of them were gone so I did the third lap a little slower, I didn't want to lose all my grip in the last lap.
Those 15 seconds became 8 at the start of the final lap. By that time I had my dad watching and trying to make me calm saying he was "miles away" haha, but I was getting nervous. I managed not to make any BIG mistakes, but I was losing a lot of grip - and time. When we got to main straight I looked back and I could see him, he was 2.6 behind me and I knew he would be a lot faster there, as my Impreza had a top speed of only 255km/h. And he was, only ~1.3 seconds behind at the end of the straight and catching my slipstream. I was, well, kinda nervous when I saw that, and I ALMOST ate the left wall after breaking and getting to 2nd gear too late and touching the kerb and then I ALMOST ate the right wall when I tried to get back on track as fast as possible.
I won by 8 tenths
My congrats to him, I'm sure if he hadn't had such back luck at the beginning he would/should have won.
Well, that's all
