odd cars

Alpines are solid after a bit of tuning. For FWD the Opel Tigra is funner than expected. The Jensen Interceptor is another car I didnt expect to enjoy.

I'm looking forward to test the three Isuzu's of the game. Not exactly cars you see all the time in the game, especially the Bellett and 117 Coupe.

On a note: my mother loves the PT Cruiser.

TVR V8S 1991

What a sweet car this is, used it for the TVR Blackpool race.
Sounds really good with a Semi-race exhaust. With basic mod's is a fun car to drive. Shows up in the Used Car Showroom 1, not sure when, but it showed up often enough for me to check it out. Modify it fully and it's a true beast, reminds me of a somewhat modernized AC Cobra. Never even noticed it my first time playing GT4 years ago. IMO is worth a try.

How about the TA22 Celica? 113hp but Ive beaten much more powerful cars on technical courses (lost on the long straightaway on the Nurb though...) Probably the best handling FR out there, light and nimble. Lacks the monster acceleration of some cars, but easier to maintain it through corners. Better than Isuzu or Mitsubishi IMO.

I use a few cars on often basis that are not necesarilly popular, though they are still known.

FR - Lexus GS300 '91

Almost every has one in ny as a matter of fact i want to buy one and put a 2jz swap in it.Quite funny i was telleing my mom that earlier today.

Yours isn't so perfect either, to be honest. Everybody will learn, sooner or later.

And mazdaman, the GS300 already has a 2JZ. ;)

Back on topic, today I found a car I'd never seen before: the Citroen Xantia. I guess I'd never seen it before, I mean, I never bothered to look in the Citroen showroom.

Now I KNOW Fiat Pandas (or any little Fiat) is not odd in Portugal, right? Or am I wrong. I'll agree that the Panda is an odd choice for GT4 racing, tho. But they're tough little cars, man. I've done some things in a Panda I can't come close to doing with a $200,000 AMG/Mercedes.

So my vote for this thread: The Alpine-Renaults..either of them (110 or 310). what a devil of a car!

About the Fiat Panda, they are common in Portugal. The older model that is in the GT4 is more uncommon to see nowadays, but the new Panda, is common here. As well as the other models. (Fiat Bravo, Punto, and the 500 is getting common to.)

I'd actually forgotten that car was in the game. I've never driven either the Xantia or the C5 (and I can't remember if I've even driven the Xsara), I think I'll have to rectify that.

To be honest i never knew that it had a 2jz. Also a car i haven't seen in a while is the 85-91 rx-7's.I think people mostly hide them i can't wait for the Fiat to be sold out in New York.I don't remember the debut dat for that.

I find the Daihatsu Midget II D-Type to be a really odd car. It's quite fun to drive when it's fully tuned, but there's not much of a purpose for it in the game :P. Another odd car, everybody knows it, the Suzuki Cappucino. Fully tuned it can win the El Capitan Enduro, with only 130-odd bhp. I'd never heard of it until GT4 had it.

The Midget first made its appearance in GT2, and was pretty much useless in that game, too.

The Cappy could be taken to 190 horsepower or therabouts in GT2! :D Not only this, but it handled with even more precision. I did some serious damage to all kinds of vehicles in a Cappy.

there were plenty of oddball cars in GT2 that were bit too good for what they were. but oddd cars, you say? hmmm.. in GT4? let's see.. Fiat 500, old beetle, Delorean.. etc etc.

I never said mine was perfect!

Don't diss the Midget  One of my favourite cars in the GT games. One day, I shall own one in real life...

Nor did he. So perhaps you shouldn't be so quick to criticise others?... People in glass houses shouldn't throw stones ;)

Dude, you made my day in a happy way!:)
