Because cars can't be shortened...CRX is normal. Too short to have been an AE86.

I believe this one belongs to Pete Aardema (Aardema SOHC).
Chevy small block with his SOHC conversion, mated to, as I recall, a GM TH-425 (a la Oldsmobile Toronado) turned 90 degrees with a custom final drive fitted to lower the center of gravity, no longer requiring a crossover axle through the oil pan.
