He says in this video that they put over 1000 cars on the dyno which doesnt have any bearing on how many cars will actually be in-game. (1:25)
It says here that FM4 will feature 600+ cars.

A random website mentioning 600 cars doesn't mean anything, either. And, as everyone says, and we all know from GT, that cars tested and modeled does not mean cars in the game.
I think T10 keeps increasing their "number of cars" with every interview, so, we won't know how many car are actually in the game until the full car list is revealed.

Putting cars on the dyno doesn't mean the car will make it. Technically they could put 3 of the exact same car on a dyno, all built differently. A stock one, a slightly modded one and a fully modded one to see the hp/torque x rpm curves and how certain mods affect a car's performance (at least on the dyno).

Nascar wont be in the game, Gran Turismo 5 got that.

GT doesn't own the NASCAR license. You can get NASCAR in other games as well.

Right. NASCAR didn't like what EA was doing so they cut their ties and said they'd never have another exclusive license just because they don't want a repeat of what EA did. It was the NASCAR drivers that then went to the NASCAR head guys, and said, "Hey, you should talk to Kaz about putting NASCAR in GT5." NASCAR invited Kaz to a race and Kaz liked it so much, that it got put in the game. However, you have to remember that Activision also released a NASCAR game. So, PD doesn't have an exclusive license, so we MIGHT see integration of it in FM4, but...something tells me it's not gonna happen until maybe FM5.

I suspect we will just get the stock cars, which is fine by me. All the liveries are available in the auction house (or you can make them yourself) and have 16 car NASCAR races online.

Yeah, I did see that movie, and I do like the car a lot. I knew it was a 250 GT, I just wasn't aware it also took the "California" name on it. Good to know!

So NASCAR liked what Eutechnyx did with it? They should go back to EA. I didnt think it was ever exclusive though. Learn something new all the time.

I guess they know RUF isn't in demand so they focused on other cars. but there is one particular RUF I was looking forward to. It's that mid-mounted one, Ctr3
