official confirmation of a patch

Well, I would think so, as far as input lag. As far as floatyness, tune your cars and they won't be floaty, default tunes are mostly soft, like normal street cars are.

I hope it fixes the crashing on nurburgring nordschleife also. I've tried everything but can't avoid it freezing mid-race.

EA support norway gave up and blamed my PS3, so I bought a new one, but the game still freezes...

The only thing I haven't tried is to buy another copy of Shift2, but that would just be wrong - if the disc is broken then I should get a working one for free...

Good news! One or two patches to smoothen out the rough edges of this game and we'll have a winner that we can play for a long time to come 👍

I have tuned and used proper setting* now it's slidy and slippy, maybe they can fix that.

I could have told you that a patch will eventually released that addresses some of the current issues w/ the game. Does that make me Ian Bell?
Whats your problem guy? Lighten up, based on the answeres Ian was giving here yesterday, id say its safe to assume it was really him, seriously stop being so up tight. Is it really that hard for you to believe someone from the dev team is talking with the community?

No, it does not. And no, that link does nothing to prove IanBell was Ian Bell one way or the other. In fact, it's more or less a copy paste of earlier posts that Drew periodically puts in the thread to let people know that they are actually reading it. It likely also serves as a kind of notation for themselves saying "all issues to this point have been logged" or something similar.

Good to see continuing confirmation of these things though on the official official site. Communication from developers = appreciated.

The only reason I said that was that timing of this post was so close to posts on this forum. Of course we cannot be sure it was the man himself posting on gtplanet, but I doubt that someone would go through all the trouble of just posting under a false name some details related to whats going to be in the patch and details of AA implementation in the game. I mean it's possible, but not likely.

Just pointing out the obvious. No offense intended.

I checked out the whole thread, and they have the same problems as most of us do. Sad to say, this is like a GT6, it's epic, but it's (probably will) full of freaking glitches and bugs.

Yeah, but I have a bit more confidence in SMS at least attempting to fix the most major issues. We got several bug fix patches and some free DLC out of Shift 1 before they moved on to other things. Whether they can fix it or not in the time EA gives them to do so will remain to be seen, but we know that they'll at least try, and are indeed trying right now.
