I don't have the full game though :(

I don't understand, were you expecting it to appear in the demo version?

I've only done 4 laps so far in the BMW Sauber round Blackwood and it's absolutely fantastic. Sub 1 minute laps are easy (even on cold-ish tyres and default setup) and it's also really easy to drive. The traction control isn't too intrusive, it lets the wheels spin quite a bit, but it keeps the rear in check really sweetly. I've only driven the F1 car so far, so I haven't noticed any other differences (new tyre model among other things).

the cars feel alot better. :D much more realistic tire performance. THis is exactly what i thought gran turismo 4 was going to be like. its what i hope gt5 feels like. its almost overwhelming...

Yep, after having a shot in some other cars I totally agree. The combination of the new tyre model and the changes to the default setups (race_1 to RACE_S) means the cars are fantastic fun to drive.

edit: The XR in particular feels a lot better to me now.

Wolfe2x7,

if you want to have a another look at the lfs.net countdown page, there was a bmw badge that is now suddenly gone...now what does that tell us? bmw and bmw sauber is not one and the same. bmw still has nothing to do with lfs...

I'm not so sure...

Most of the time, steering lock is referred to by going from lock to lock. For example, the DFP is always quoted as having 900*, not 1800*.

This patch is awesome, but I can't even reach 0'59"999 on Blackwood with the BF1...I don't know what I'm doing wrong... :indiff:

I've put together a wee replay for you. Don't know if it'll help. Only got a few laps in, my left hand isn't in a very good state at the moment (I have eczema), and the glove I'm wearing caused the double-downshift at the end of the first lap. Pretty scruffy in general actually now I watch it again

The current world record is something like a 53.5 (and it's only been out for a few hours  ).

Dunno if you can take anything useful from this...

Unzip to LFS Folder/Data/spr. In LFS, go to replays and open the one starting with "amp88"

This is simply
AWESOME!!!

:dopey:

You really have to hear that V8 sound with traction control, and massive wind noise while you're blasting through the tracks at ridiculous speeds, working hard to keep the car on the black bits. Amazing. :)

Did I mention it's awesome?

yeah the audio detail is good. you can hear the crackling sound just like in real life. i'm not sure what causes it though.. is that the sound of fuel or traction control? all i know is its the same sound i heard IRL onboard video. i realy didnt expect to hear it in lfs.

there are still a few issues with the physics but this is a big step forward for lfs.

The new patch and F1 car are amazing. I've spent so much time over the last couple of days playing. I actually drove more miles online yesterday than in the rest of the time I've had LFS, such is the difference. The F08 and F0X feel absolutely brilliant now too. Before the patch I hated the F08, I just couldn't get to grips with it at all.

The replay I uploaded above was pretty bad, so here's a new one. Halfway through my hot lap at the end my brother walked in and started talking to me, putting me off, so I lost a bit of time.

If I'm not mistaken it's both. TC works by cutting fuel input to all/some cylinders.

kk i was just wondering :P

yeah... i'm gonna stay away from the bf1 for a week or two untill the noobs get bored with crashing into people :P. Right now i'm trying to get good with the xrr :P.

there is also "credit suisse"...does that mean S3 will come with a free savings acoount?👍

Well, Credit Suisse are a long-term sponsor of Sauber, so it's not a surprise they're included in the advertising...

Gah, why can't we have a credit card......I really want to give this new BMW Sauber a go!

...and bmw is supplying the engine and owns sauber, so its not really a surprise that they are included in the advertisement.

Can anyone help me out here? Ever since since the patch before this new patch came out I've been having lagging out problems. I join a room everything is fine for around 10 minutes then everyone seems to lag out and I lose connection to the room. This happens every time, unless the host is a dedicated host. I'm running a 5mbps connection so I don't think that could be the problem.

the BF1 is so intense... its almost overwhelming to be going so fast and have to drive offensively and defensivly while negotiating corners. The car may seem easy but its not easy when you are pushing and trying to pass the car in front without getting passed by the car behind. 90% of the pack is a bunch of noobs most of the time. but once you make it to the front with the good guys it gets really intense.

So anyone know the source of my problem and how to fix it? I'm dying to have a proper online game, haven't had one in ages.
