I don't think it ever will be rated a 10 by all us. People want different things from a game, and I think what is going to make PC sim racers the happiest may dissuade other (I don't like the word casual) gamers. Onliners will judge it differently to offliners, and so on.
I almost mentioned this in the OP, but when I said "10" I wasn't thinking of a true 1-10 rating scale. Everyone's idea a "10" is different. ::ahem:: @WhoosierGirl ::ahem::

But we all have our own ideas on how GT6 could be the ultimate PS3 game, maxing out its potential.

So, every time there is a blog update we have to sift through the same complaints from the same people?

I'm afraid so Jim, unless a blog update includes the words "B-Spec" or "Course Creator", we will have to sift through complaints. It's as simple as that, unfortunately.

Why not complain directly to PD, as opposed to a fan forum?

Does it make you feel better when people like your complaints?

I wish I could answer that first question, but unfortunately I can't read minds. That would be very useful to understand why people don't forward their complaints to PD (unless they just don't want to bother), instead of posting them here over and over again...

Communication with PD?

I figured that sentence would be said. And unfortunately, you are right when questioning PD's commitment to "communication"... Otherwise we wouldn't have experienced the failure that was GTP's own Q&A forum, from which PD only answered one question before going silent for good. Which in turn lead to it being closed by GTP amidst much controversy... So yes, PD needs to develop this area a bit more. Just pointing that out.

That same old song that keeps getting sang whenever someone makes a complaint... I don't think I need to repeat it since @Tornado has already mentioned it.

They can comment directly on the blog.
Yeah too bad they (Kaz and PD) chose not to comment about said complaints on their "blog", because they (Kaz and PD) chose to end the Q&A session in the first place soooo...... Just stop already Jim, you're protection mode is on, yet again.

No further posts will be written by me after this one, so don't bother replying back.

Awesome, best thing you have said in a long time. Does that apply to all threads, or just this one?
Weeeell...
It was Jordan who actually closed it because we weren't getting any answers.
Oh. Okay, that makes sense.

There Jim, that's the last one for this thread, but not all threads on the fourm. I know you're hungry for more, but I'm all out of stu. :mischievous:

Funny thing is, even if PD were to announce anything to the community, they'd still get hated on for it. They really are between a rock and a hard place when it comes to us.

Their position is mostly of their own making. I agree that pretty much anything they do is going to draw criticism at this point, and that's at least partially the result of their own past policies and actions (or lack thereof).

There is no quick fix if you're looking for it from PD's perspective. They need to decide on how they want to communicate, implement it, and then weather the storm for the first few months. If they want a robust and healthy engagement with the community, they can get it, but there's no avoiding that they will likely be attacked for the first wee while as people vent their venom over PD's past treatment of the community.

And that would be to their advantage as well. Better that people are venting directly at PD and getting it over with than them spreading bad will throughout the gaming community. If I'm a business, I'd rather people complain to me directly than complain to all their friends.

To be honest. I wouldn't mind if GT6's course maker was like GT5's, but improved to the point it allows you to create p2p tracks. However, since they haven't released it within the year...yeah you know.

If only there was some sort of Q&A session to forward those complaints to PD. They could even use this Pit Stop blog to it.
You should forward that suggestion to Jordan. Sound great:tup:👍:sly:

If your date says she'll meet you somewhere and you drive there and wait for her but she doesn't show, did you end the date by going home, or did she end the date by not showing up?

Tough titties. It's a harsh, cruel world out there, not facing it head on is probably the worst option one can take at this point. Burying your head in the sand doesn't gain you a lot of credibility.

I guess we should just get over the fact that this blog was not created to answer questions from the fans. Just another promo tool and that's it.
The blog isn't even a promo tool for the game. ;) It's more like a "Look what we just did!" Or "Look at what we're hosting for our fellow Japanese!".

Then, if they ever do use it for promotion for GT6, it's just to announce a minor thing that very lite people care about.

PD is, quite simply, destroying itself due to its ignorance.

"The PIT STOP is a blog-style service that brings you information regarding Gran Turismo in a casual way. Taking an approach that is a bit different from the official gran-turismo.com, we’ll be bringing you bits of info that didn’t make it into the official news."

It seems to fit this criteria very well.
Not interested in it, then don't read it.
But don't read it and then complain about it not being major news about the game.

It's a blog regarding Gran Turismo 6, not what they (PD) did for a holiday and it's certainly not a good way to say that, "We hope to have so-and-so included into the game!" and as we all know, PD's definition of 'hope/promise' is "Just a load of 🤬".

To put it simply, I'd believe more in what comes out of Lance Armstrong's mouth more than PD's.

Listen to yourselves.

You're actually telling a company whether or not they should start a blog, and what they should put in it.
And because it isn't what you want, it's rubbish.
Fine, it's rubbish.
I guess there's one less thing for you to read then.

They don't have a clue. No info about the game or process development - instead this boring crap. It looks like they made this blog for themselves to talk about the stuff no one would ever publish an article about. (because it's a snooze fest)

The sound articles were great. Now we have - mostly - this dribble.

Kaz drives the GT-R on ze autobahn - "wooo iz su fast on the autobahn woo"

"Some people from Japan play Gran Turismo"

"Some other people play Gran Turismo - aren't we great"

Not sure why people insist we don't understood what they created this blog for - casual news about Gran Turismo.

I GOT IT. (we all got it ?)

This "casual way" sucks.

You can't just say to your spouse that you will take the kids to the school in "casual way" and drive the car off the cliff.

"Honey - I'm not sure what you expected - I clearly said I'm doing it the "casual way" - you CLEARLY can't complaint no matter what I do"

Same with the blog - the fact that they said "casual news" doesn't mean I have to be content with the crap they putt up there.
