Hey guys,

Just wanted to check something... Are the tracks online more slippery than offline? I bee practicing all day with my Cobra and getting good scores with it, so I decided to get online a bit and suddenly I kept spinning out... Like my car just slides away from me...

Help would be appreciated... ;)

Online does not have a drift mode, so you don't get the extra steering angle when drifting online. This is probably the main reason you're spinning out. Try drifting offline in a time trial mode and see does it feel the same as online drifting.

It's a well known fact that Online and Offline GT5 physics are different. This is noticeable in that a car online may take a corner at a certain speed and angle, but can spinout in the exact same conditions online.

Yes, the physics online are different than offline. I'm not sure what the technical difference is, but like you said, online is more "slippery" than offline.

This is the reason a lot of people (myself included) say it is better to do your tuning and practicing in your lounge as opposed to practice mode.

The only thing I use practice mode for is taking photos, and tandem practice with my ghost. I do all my tuning and most of my practice in my lounge or in a lobby.
