Remember, this just a casual series designed for us to relax and have fun.

So we can keep mics on and possible test racing from your lounge? Never understood the point of having to race in an open lobby  Must be a reason though.

We had some lag issues in the past. That's why we decided to do the two room tango. It seemed to help. We will keep mics on

I'm looking forward to the RX7 race. The first I drove the car was tonight and I was able to run 1:24's. Just wait until next week when everyone's had some practice.......it's gonna be a quick race!

The car is a welcome change when put up against the HKS. Much more enjoyable to drive.

Congratulations to NCR for winning the opening round of this series! The race was interesting, everyone seemed to have one incident. But it wasn't as bad as I thought, although I'll be putting that car up on blocks in the back of the garage.

Next weeks race looks to be a lot better with some guys already super fast. At least the car is more comfortable to drive.

Thanks to everyone that raced last night and hope to see you all next week!

Thanks R0ADRASH! Nice to get a win-it's been a while. Guess I was the only one who liked the Evo. Had a pretty loose set up with 24 rear aero 45/55 tq. etc... Got rid of the understeer and made for a really fun ride. Too bad this car chews the tires, I really like it.

Congrats on the win NCR! Good to hear someone liked the car. I think it would be much better on an off road course.

Bit concerned about my connection. That is 2 Thursdays in a row now that my connection has been acting up. I think my internet provider may be doing something during that time period. Seems to last for about 2 hours before returning to normal. Hopefully not an ongoing issue or i'll be ticked!

Looking forward to tweaking the RX-7 during the week. I think CB has it dialed in. Can't imagine there being much more time to gain out there. I just need to figure out how he is doing it lol.

As RR and cB caught me my daughter walked in with a bloody elbow from a scooter crash. I had to kiss the bloody elbow of my crying 5 year old as I'm driving. Result: off to the sand. Later as my wife is trying to clean the cut, screams galore begin. I lost concentration, got pissed, and quit. Ultimately knowing what I needed to do over what I wanted to do is far more important, I felt relieved to rage quit. I hate GVS more than the HKS anyway. I rather drink hot beer while smelling skunk.

I have to do that frequently to make my job seem like fun...... I find a slice of lime in each nostril makes it a more pleasant experience.

I lock my bedroom door and put earphones in to basically eliminate distractions. There's not much I can hear lol. But I don't have anything I need to tend to, like kids or a wife, which are good enough reasons to "rage" quit.

I run with headphones so I did not hear the cries on the way to the door. I'm setup in the living room, entry door swings open and my crying girl looks right at me, I took off the headphones to try and respond verbally. Clearly not enough. That was that. I spun in front of Envy as my audible queues were off for RPM and shift points and down in flames I go.

I can't relate with a screaming daughter. But i was going attempt the race WITHOUT socks :sly:

I always race without socks. But then again you guys will just say that's because I'm in California. Maybe I should race in flip flops.

Learned a few things tonight. Can now hit the 23's. 15 laps are doable on racing softs. Is it worth risking shooting for the 1 stopper? Yet to be decided...

If you can do 23's and make 15 laps I will too . One stopper it is!

To be fair, I only ran 1 lap in the 23's on that 15 lap stint. majority were of the laps were between the 24's and 26's. Lap times fell into the 28's on the 15th lap.

I'm generally pretty good at managing tires as i try not to over drive the car in the turns. Slow in and fast out is my style. I tend to brake early which not only gives me better tire wear, but quicker lap times as well.

I know you're really good with managing tires. A 1 stopper shouldn't be an issue for you. The question i need to figure out is if it will be quicker up against a 2 stopper.

Reviews are up for the new Fanatec Clubsport Wheel, its very cool.
Nice, but sure is expensive. I'll stick with my G27 for now. My next big purchase may be a PC as i would love to get into PC sim racing.

Please don't get me wrong, I'm not implying I'm better than you but I think we have similar driving styles and tire management skills. I was running 9 laps in the 24's on Thursday night and was just above 50% tire life left so I'm confident I'll be able to do a one stopper .

I too am planning on doing PC SIM racing. A kitchen remodel and an unexpected $1000 car bill are getting in the way of my new PC. So it may be a little while.

I was praising you on your tire management. Sorry if my earlier post came out wrong.
