As I understand it the guy who just left office was the buffoon. What gives? You're sounding like us, being desperate to get one guy out and being all mad that we voted another retard into office. Or does that happen every time?

Yay for Boris! :sly:... or BO-JO as he is now known

Seriously he may look like a total idiot but I think he knows what he's doing behind the scenes, he just puts it all on to appeal to everyone particularly the younger voters who I guess think more of him! This guy went to Oxford so he can't be that dim!

Oh well... I don't live in London so it doesn't bother me too much if things go to pot! :sly:

Enjoy your new mayor!

Well he is spending several billion of taxpayers money, so whether you are a Londoner or not you should be worried/hopeful.

I literally lol'd at Christian Choice candidate outdoing the UKIP candidate!

I seriously don't think that Boris Johnson knows what he's doing... he could barely handle questioning from a BBC London newsreader, and the likes of Jeremy Paxman will tear him a new one if he ever goes on Newsnight... Ken had his faults but he did a pretty good job as mayor and took the role very seriously... Boris Johnson is a celebrity who seems more interested in self-promotion than anything else, and I won't be surprised if he makes a total mess of it.

The people want the Tories. Cameron will be the next Prime Minister, Gordie has about 2 years (it's 2010 for the GE isn't it?) to pull a trick that Houdini would be proud of. Labour have made some mistakes, some quite big ones. I still think a lot of the problems that they are blamed for, are out of their control, ie, the global credit crunch.

Mayor is ok when you consider that things could be worse... could you imagine if Boris Johnson was

Prime Minister

Oh and here is Boris at his best on "Have I Got News For You" :sly:

huh?

that guy looks like he should be running around in the TARDIS or giving Jim Herriot a hand :P

dude, get a haircut, you look like crap!

I voted for Boris because I think Ken would have introduced another scheme eventually to tax us more and also Im curious to see what Boris could do...
I wasnt angry when he introduced the congestion charge but really ticked me off when he raised the toll.

Boris got a First from Oxford and was President of the Union. So what if he looks like a tramp and bumbles sentences like the uncle no-one talks about or visits? At least he's more interested in :censored:ing than :censored:ing everyone.

Well, if there's one thing I noticed recently by looking at international news, it's that others countries do have many similar issues as us, whether it be a group of angry parents or idiots in the government.

Not quite, The people don't want Labour any more. Cameron is the only realistic alternative.

well, now I've got the impression this guy will be London's Dubyah...or Bubba

Now I'm by far not a Tory (South Wales lad voting Tory? I'd be murdered just for mentioning it) but Boris Johnson as London Mayor is truly amazing.

If only because, like me, we don't have to deal with it :sly:
