Oi! Aussies! Need help to try find someone?

Posting this here because i'm not sure where else to post it.
And also not sure anyone would be able to help either? Worth a shot though! 👍

Back in the day, 2001, i also started a Gran Turismo website (not a GTP compeditor, just a fan site - Jordan has been well aware of it ever since and even submitted a time for a basic track records page i had made).
It's slowly making a comeback at the moment (hadn't been updated since 2006) and while going through each page i noticed a submission from my most regular contributor after reading a drifting guide he wrote for the site.

So i tried e-mailing him at the only e-mail i had for him (had to search way down into the deep recesses of my e-mail account) which was his work addy and then got an auto response saying the address doesn't exist (don't you hate that!).

I Googled for a bit and found the company had changed it's name. I tried contacting them but got this reply;
"Dear Andrew,

Whilst we appreciate the difficulties with maintaining distribution lists, for privacy and security reasons, DEEWR neither confirms nor denies the employment status of individuals.

Yours sincerely,

DEEWR Contact Centre"

Now for all i know he's probably not a gamer anymore, doesn't work there, or maybe isn't even alive anymore (a Google search came up with something about a death of a guy with the same name).
But i'd still like to let him know about the site and maybe he'll have something else to add to it.

Won't post any more of his details in public but on the site he used the alias, Andy R and lives in Aussie

Any suggestions on how i can track him down?

Nope, that guy is in the USA. And i did find him and he found my forums eventually.

I don't think you can find him( it will be very hard if you can)

Have you tried to find him using Facebook etc...??

I would also recommend an iracing search.

But Facebook + google would be the best.

Also, DEEWR is the acronym for one of our governemnt departments, so make sure the email address you tried is @deewr.gov.au and not whatever the previous incarnation is (it changes pretty much after every federal election).

Aside from that, do what Small_Fryz said. Since he worked for the government, there is a fair chance he lived in Canberra at the time (I know they will have offices everywhere, but most staff in Canberra), so keep a lookout for that in any search you do.

Haven't tried Facebook i don't think, but may have (i'm old - my memory is going ).

Edit: May have found him on LinkedIn, so signed up to see the profile, seems the same sort of job he had, so tried sending a message to him;

I'm not paying $25+ just to contact one person, who may or may not be the guy i'm after.

Is anyone here a paid member of LinkedIn? If so could i get you to message the guy for me?

Well considering i haven't yet found a way to get hold of him (no reply from that LinkedIn message yet) the i hardly think that is the case.
