Has anyone figured out how many miles/kilometers you can get before an oil change. Also how many miles/kilometers before an engine rebuild and how much affect it would have on the oil change frequency due to engine wear?
Just seeing if anyone has it figured out.

I know this doesn't really address your question but in gt4 you had to wait for the oil light to come on to do oil changes or you would lose power. I tried out this method with GT5 but it doesn't work the same, waste of time.

I dont know how many miles it takes, but about a hour or more of driving will result in dirty oil.

For rebuilds pay attention to your HP before and after oil changes, once your HP drops to a low level and wont raise up with an oil change, consider a rebiuld.

There are dozens of other threads on this.

Basically, watch your hp, when it starts to go down, change the oil. Or you can wait for the oil light to go on (you'll be really down on power at this point).

If an oil change doesn't bring the car back up to regular power levels, rebuild the engine, or don't, and live with lower power output.

As for a number miles that marks the point you need to change things, I had to rebuild my Minolta at around 3k miles to get it back to normal power.
