Despite me messing up one setting and forcing everyone to rejoin the lobby twice, me being stuck in the loading screen and unable to rejoin during the practice session, the AI glitching in the very first corner and remaining there untill the end of the race, the night allready falling in the qualifying session, an AI car glitching all over the road and map, eyeseeh50 jumping the start having to pit in and getting a 600second penalty for no reason, it was an awesome race xD

And nice win copes, well deserved :)

As far as I'm concerned we'll set up a race next week as well?

Oh, and here is a picture of Eyeseeh50 camping with the AI :D

Yeah it didn't go to well for me. A very slight roll forward at the start gave me a drive through penalty. Then as I exited the pit lane I was hit with a 600 second penalty for short cutting the track! This put me 4 laps down on the main field :-(
Ah well you live and learn. I enjoyed the first couple of laps though.
Another thing I noticed was the ffb became very light after 3-4 laps, this repeated after the pit stop so it may have been the tyres coming up to temp or something.
Finally my car started to lose power by the end of the race so I guess I had something like the radiator set wrong.
Even after all this I do like the game I have only clocked 9hrs in the game so far, so I need more practice.
Looking forward to the next event!

I felt the loss of power near the end also. But not as much. I was able to run quicker lap times during the night. I had made many mistakes though and spun a few times.

Another mistake I made was not aetiing my pit strategy for my tires. I had put the wrong pressure and messed up my car balance for the second half of the race. :(

All in all, the race was smooth. No issue on my end except for the Cara parked and a few lightning glitch at the end, but very smooth experience, no lag, and clean racing for all involved. Can't wait for next time.

Despite the problems already mentioned that was a lot of fun.

I messed up qualifying in the dark and couldn't turn a clean lap so I ended up behind all of the AI. I figured that I would have a difficult time making it past all of them because at 85% they would be running very close to the same speed as I would be (and probably faster in the dark)

At the start they started rolling forward before the lights even turned green and then after the lights went green they didn't accelerate, but just kept rolling (they eventually ended up in a pile at the bottom of the hill before Eau Rouge - luckily out of the way of other traffic). I sat for a few seconds before driving in the grass to go around them as they rolled down the hill.

I was not able to catch the four drivers in front for most of the first stint. I was working my tail off just to stay within 10 seconds of 4th. Then Eyeseeh had his problem moving me to 3rd. I think near halfway I started to gain on 3rd (BigMo maybe?), and was able to pass him after Ear Rouge as my car seemed to be faster on the straights at that point. Unfortunately I was about out of fuel and had to pit right then.

The second stint was pretty quiet. I was gradually losing time to Dongel (from 25 - 30 secs) and putting time on 4th (who was having problems as mentioned in the previous post. I was much slower in the dark than during the day. Near the end I realized that I had screwed up the pit strategy and was going to come up just short, so with plenty of gap to 4th I went in for a splash of fuel. Upon exiting I got a 20 second penalty for cutting the course - but I was still able to finish third (a long way back from the top two).

Had a great time and look forward to the next one.

Thanks for hosting this Dongel. It's a good format. I would like to do another next week.

That's the longest race I've ever been in and I enjoyed every lap. If that was GT6 I probably would have been bored once the field spread out but this game is different. I hope they fix the bugs soon.

It went smooth other than the issues mentioned in my other post :D The driving itself was a lot of fun and very clean. Real bummer ICH had to pit because we had a awesome battle for 1st, overtaking eachother a few times without contact.

Shall we just use this thread for the next one? Next sunday (or saturday) will probably be difficult for me. Maybe we can try friday if you guys have time?

I won't be able to make Friday due to family commitments.
At the moment I'm having to work 7 days a week so not sure when I will be available but my best opertunity is still Sunday evenings.
Looking forward to a rematch when hopefully things go better for me :-)

Balls. I have the crap thread on my watch list (but not this one) and regardless, i am not getting notifications for it on gtp. Completely forgot about the race! So sorry mr D.

I hate to sign up for things and then not show. Massive apology. Hopefully i can make a future event.

Thats a bummer. I definitely cant make it on saturday or sunday though, and mondays I have a GT4 series I joined. So Im going to try to plan on friday if we can get some people together :)

@micantony No problem, how was your actual race on sunday? :)
Maybe you can join next friday?

As a bit of practice I did a GT3 race at the Watkins Glen GP circuit with a grid of 12 AI cars set at 80%. I had a brilliant race, the track is a good one and the AI seemed to work well. Got pole position by 0.08 of a second and walked away from the field in the first couple of laps only to spin the car and have to fight my way forward again from 5th to finish 2nd. Will have to try the race again with a higher AI setting.
I can highly recommend this track for a future event.

If we're going to run something regularly then @Mr_D can you please ask @Jordan if we can move it into the regular series forum. Even if it's not an overall championship it's still a regular series of races, just different ones each time. It's what we used to do with most of the GT5 races we ran. It gets a lot more attention and if it's regular then the thread should be in that forum anyway. I'm at a heavy metal festival in Germany this weekend so can't race anytime :(

Did anyone get the results screen?

Being in the US, Friday afternoons are not usually going to work for me. I do work from home and would be able to make it on occasion, but I wouldn't know until the time of the race if I could break away.
Yeah, I totally understand. For now I think we might do a shorter more casual race on friday with whomever is available..
Next full out Endurance race will be Sunday the 7th, so please sign up if you can make it :)

Sounds good to me. Can we decide on the cars and track? I'm happy to race anything but some people might want to know before they sign up.

I will be available for the Sunday 7th June event 👍
Awesome

I would like to race on circuit de la sarthe since the actual le mans 24hr is the week after (which I will be attending :) and maybe something superfast like lmp1 or 2? I have zero experience in those so should be interesting.. :) but only if you guys agree

Sounds great! Might as well go all out and do LMP1. I've never raced those either and I was always rubbish at circuit de la sarthe on GT6 so this will be a challenge :)
