:banghead: I FEEL LIKE SUCH AN IDIOT!!! AFTER AGES PLAYING THIS GAME I FINALY FOUND THE BEST CAR IN GT5! 1 MONTH BEFORE GT6?!?!?!?! REALY??? And the car in question is the lexus LFA. seems like an odd assumption to make, considering its low PP (comparative to lambos and ferraris), its made by lexus and it comes in fluro pink (says allot dosnt it :lol:), but the things that make it good are what matters. For some reason, even though its max PP is around 585, when in a time trial, it still keeps up with the ferraris and the lambos. it also is one of the only cars in the game with a remotely accurate engine noise, as well as one of the only cars that is fun to drive (its a bit tail happy, but completly controlable, the perfect combo for a track-bred supercar!). I guess Kaz likes the LFA then. It also looks good, and Mr. Clarkson gives it a 👍! Unfortunately, it has taken me more than a year to realise the LFA's potential in GT5, and all im hoping is that GT6 retains the joy of it (well, im kinda hoping ALL cars will be this fun in GT6) But anyway, this is plainly my oppinion, but for those who havent given this car a go, PLEASE DO!!!

Probably my most hated car in GT5. It's so underrated by the PP system and outclasses anything else on most tracks in it's usable PP range. 550PP rooms often end up with 2, 3, 4, 5 or more LFA's in them and you really have no chance without it if any of the other drivers are half decent.
 
I am nowhere near finishing or completing the game, and i dont think i ever really properly tossed this car around to say that i have "driven" it.

Based on what you are telling me OP, i guess i am saving the best for last :P

I voted: "I haven't driven it yet..."

I am gonna hurry up and buy it in the next few days then, i got 20 Millions to spend :D

No it's not a cheat car, the mass and horsepower puts it right at 540 pp, equal to GT-R Black, Viper SRT10, Ferrari F430, Ferrari SP1, the handling is very nice and the LFA is a great Nurburgring 8/10ths cruiser.
 
It is indeed a good car. I participated in quite a few 550PP rooms earlier this year. The Lexus LFA, the Honda NSX Type-R '02, and the Ruf RGT seemed to be the most successful cars.

My main 550PP car is the '02 Honda NSX using one of MFT's tunes and it can hold its own against most LFAs. However, there's absolutely no doubt that the LFA is a very competitive car.
 
To be completely honest, it's ugly, the sound is way off and annoying (like hearing a mosquito right on your ear). The cockpit view is too close (you can change that I know but still) it's just a V10 Supra and it handles just like you would expect from a high powered Supra.

Nothing special about it as in the virtual world of Gran Turismo .
 
Agreed. The sound of the car is very annoying. Pragmatically however, it can be a formidable racer in the right hands.
 
It is a very fun car and has a very accurate sound. I am amazed at the sound of it on GT5. I just hate when people ruin the sound of it by removing the stock exhaust. Not worth it to me to take the exhaust off just for a little added power.
 
It's a good car to race. Driving wise to me it feels too tame stock or modded to any degree. In a race that's great but I like flashy and smoke.
 
The only thing I don't like much about this machine is the sound, it sounds wrong despite being a unique sound in GT5 as no other machine sounds like this in the game.

One of the prettiest modern machines I've ever seen, just the right amount of tailhappy and generally fun to drive around. I usually use one of mine for 550pp racing, it is a very competitive machine. Not the best in 550pp class as it loses to the Bimmers and the NSXs and it has it's weaknesses in the handling department if you're not careful with it. I don't go lower than 550pp as it's incredibly cheap in the low 500pp levels.

Overall a very good machine and in my opinon my favorite machine out of the 1000+ in GT5.
 
The LFA is quite the car. It really does have a very neutral feel and is very fun to rip around Nurburg and the city tracks as well. Cote is a blast.

Agreed, Funny how this sometimes helps and other times ruins the sound of a car. This is also why I tend to use the close ratio transmissions over the race trans. The gear whine is something I can do without.

I detest the phrase "cheat car" but it is accurate to say that the LFA cheats the PP system. In the right hands it's simply unbeatable at any of the fast tracks in the game. The game has to have a "fastest" car by definition, but more like a tenth or two, not a second or more.

At lower PP levels it's unbeatable. 550pp onwards where it has huge amounts of power and a tiny little retractable wing it's more of a deathtrap, it has amazing straight line speed but suffers a bit in handling, losing to the NSX/RGT super hyper grip.

Too much of a price for it for so many for me being that I cant connect my PS3 online and not too fond of grinding. Well worth the money though, and well worth the wait once you get one, I'm sure, even though I still don't have an LFA yet.
