Jawehawk
I can send you a Midget as compensation. :D
I'd like to point out that my car appears to have remained on the ground throughout the madness. :)

Yet I was physically Dive Bombed by both the other drivers. Felt like I am racing Hamilton and Kobayashi.

What the hell happened over there? Was chuck norris in the race or something?
Was there a movie shoot for the new fast and furious?

The ones in the air should be disqualified for breaking this rule:

In my events, you are off-track as soon as you have less than two wheels on the track.

Actually lag might help you win, the picture is clear evidence :).

Maybe one of us had the hand of Chuck Norris for a couple of seconds :P .

And no, I don't think they should be disqualified because Jawehawk meant going off track as going into the grass or sand. If this was the case in real life races, then racers would be disqualified for almost rolling their car over :odd: .

I'm sad not to join you guys on this one, as i won't be home this saturday.

Have a good one guys! :)

I got invited to this one, and thanks for posting that. It seems like this will be a good race too.

I'm guessing that this won't be a really good race for me since the Lotus Elise '96 always oversteers when you don't want it to and so does the LF-A. To those who can't stand uncontrollable oversteer like me, then this will be some use to you in order to control cars that like to oversteer. It's an article written to teach you about weight transfer and how it affects the car's handling.

Hopefully this will improve your skills in time for the race 👍 .

Oh My Goodness. I just looked at my laptop and for some reason it said it was the 19th. I had a massive panic attack and thought I missed the race

Awww man, why couldn't it have said it was the 17th, so on race day it would say it was the 18th instead of the 19th and you would have missed out on the race! That would be one less racer to worry about.

*troll face*

How do you think you can reduce the amount of weight transfer (just curious to check the knowledge of vehicle dydnamics in here)?

I know altering the vehicle set up is not allowed in this race (might be a hint to find the answer), so it's not going to help you in this race.

I have something to share with you guys, in addition to msters link: http://www.bmwgroup.com/publikationen/e/2006/pdf/fahrphysik_2006_e.pdf

At page 5 you see the circle of Kamm, read that page and you'll understand why your tail suddenly kicks out.

Just realised that the 24H nurburg race is today! Horrible timing. Will have to finish the event as fast as possible to watch it. :D

Looking forward to racing with you all tonight. Hopefully, the few who singed up, will all be there.

Jawehawk, what channel will the nurburgring race be on? I want to watch it too :( .

Normally you can just change the car settings without having to change your driving style to reduce the amount of excessive weight transfer, but since tuning isn't allowed, you have to be more gradual on the brake and the accelerator.

If you look at the news page of GTP, there's a good amount of links to live streams. The only races that air on Danish TV is a few F1 races, and the 24H Le Mans. :(

Of course we have no shortage of TV airing football, handball and bicycling.
Because it's soo much fun watching someone kick/throw a ball...

I've officially lost all hope for my country. I was going through my channels to see if perhaps one was showing the Nurburgring race. I switched over to a channel supposedly dedicated to showing sports, and guess what it was feakin showing. A RUNNING MARATHON! REALLY!? There's a 24H race going on in Germany, and you're showing some people running? My god...

Any spaces available im free now?

Generally speaking, participants have to attend practice sessions for me to be able to determine whether or not they are clean and fair drivers. We are, however, real short on participants for this event, so I'll give you a chance. Do some free running with me so we can see how you drive.

I can see you've maxed out your friends list, so here's the room number. 1472-6118-4259-7712-9585.

Im sorry for being dumb, so you are driving events from first page right? so the cars from first page are involved..? is there a room for one more driver, i can enter the lobby in 10 min.. thx..

It is indeed the cars on the first page that we're using. However, the event is just about to start, and I have no way of knowing whether you're a clean and fair driver. I'm sorry, but you're too late to enter this event.

The championship has ended, and granted we didn't have a lot of drivers, it was still fun(Except the first race, which was just plain boring).

The 2nd Lotus race was great fun. I made a silly mistake when counter steering on the 5th lap, and ended up being 3rd, with 11 seconds seperating me from the front of the pack. During the remaining laps, I managed to fight my way close to M8h3r, who on the end of the 17th lap, lost control of the car. The R111 is so much more fun to drive than the Elise '96.

The last race is one of the best races I've ever participated in. I managed to get into 1st by after the 2nd chicane on the Mulsanne Straight, and had M8h3r, MSTER and ADR right behind me for about 4 laps. on the 4th lap, something went wrong, and I saw M8h3r and MSTER spin out in my rear view mirror on Indianapolis. ADR still remained on my tail though. For 5 laps, ADR was gaining ground, then losing it due to braking mistakes. We got side by side twice, but after little time, ADR would miss his braking point, and I'd make a decent gap. At Arnage on the 7th lap, ADR crashed into the wall.

The LFA's look amazing in the night on La Sarthe, and the pose a great challenge to drive. Thanks for the race guys.

The amount of weight transfer is determined by the G-force, the height of Centre of Gravity, wheelbase (transfer to front or rear wheels) and track width (transfer to left or right wheels) of your car. So the only way to reduce weight transfer is lowering your car, changing track width or wheelbase is not going to be easy :). So if the track (and rules) allows it, run with lowest ride height settings!

Who won the championship by the way? congrats to the winner!

ADR_Bronco and Me :D joint second 👍

Good racing guys, well done Andy for winning the championship:gtpflag:

I liked the first two races, I was much better enjoy the Lotus.

The snow was much to slippery, enjoyed towards the end when I knew the track.

Le Man found very hard made to many mistakes, damaged a lot, car was a challange to drive. I was just driving in the to get points not DNF:ouch:
