I've been out of GT for months now but this update looks alright to me. PP550 - PP800, five different tracks and a WE @ Suzuka. Am I missing something? PD have chosen five events with a decent enough amount of variety. Isn't there something here for everyone?

So if I want to race some highly tuned race cars, I'm restricted to High Speed Ring. If I want to be competitive at Suzuka 700 PP it's all about downgraded /Tuned vehicles (although this event is pretty fun if nobody uses cheater cars), I hate downgrading a car.

Daytona is nothing but a ring of death... as much as i hate the GT40... it is needed to get first place. i like using the SRT10 on that level and i cant seem to get higher than 2nd place... but i still have respectable lap times... FORD SUCKS!

What time is everyone running the 550pp Eiger race? I tried the :15's and only matched with one player.

You are so damn fast i raced with you in my red RX-7 and even though i am slower than you you still respected my driving line thanx. that RX-8 is set up proper u said you run with S3 right?

Thats what I would like to know, I have been joining (in a RX8 under my VIPERGTS01 account) at all sorts of time and don't come across anyone most the time.

I was getting 1:14's in my 350z, is that decent? Couldn't catch a french bloke (in a Clio, surprise surprise) who punted a New Zealander in an RX8 off the track on the first lap. It was a pretty spectacular spin, I was lucky to dodge my way through without hitting him.

Had a couple of good races there - never tried a particular time though.

1'14's is a bit off pace, when I used the 350Z briefly I hit a high 1'12 but went straight to the RX8 shortly after so didn't see its full potential.

I've never been that great at Eiger, I don't really know what I'm doing wrong. I seem to lose lots of time through the downhill section at the start.

What tyres does everyone use at Eiger? I'm not even remotely interested if it's R tyres, even a Z4 gets downgraded at 550 PP using R tyres, it has to be S3.

I tried S2's on the 350z, didn't really have enough grip. I think I'm going to try an original Lotus Elise, just for the challenge. :D

No doubt anyone using R tires for a 550 PP events is def a đź‘Ž im only having problems with RX-8 that seems to be the car on the track besides the clio and lotus any way i got my RX-7 to a 13.2

Unfortunately last night I was testing a tune from a member of this site, and it used R1 tires. Although it is super fast, I plan on switching back to S3's. The car just handles so great though, and is super fun to drive with the racing tires.

I'll be on tonight for a few races with the S3 tires.

Ooo... No doubt you was hitting turn so hard i was like damn this guy is no joke!! hahah i hope you come on tonight with the S3 it should be real interseting

iam using R2-R2 with the clio at eiger.
and yes its let down of power for a 550.
but still you can drift if you like:)
best time until now 1''11''1xx but only once and i didnt understand how i did it.
usually i make 1''11 high 1''12 low

First of all it's not a GT40 it's a GT. Secondly it's kinda normal that the GT is faster than the Viper. If Ford sucks why the GT is that fast ?

Fastest time with the S3's is in the low 1:13's. So the speed difference between S3's and R1's is about a full second for me.

O ok yea im high 1:13. i wish o had my G25 though im so much better with it but the controller is ok anyway see you later on.

With a good run, I have started to pull off high 1:12's. Throttle control is very important. :D I don't think I will be on any more tonight, maybe tomorrow night after work.

I wish the Mustang was more competive, it just spins its power away though. Otherwise I'd use it every so often at Eiger.

I have been running the Mazda RX8 on R1's (quite a weight penalty), I would like S tyre limitation too but always starting from the back and with only 5 laps I have no hope catching those Clios (or anyone on R's) on when I am on S tyres.

Anyway I have hit 1'10.964 with the RX8 on R1's (was a very good lap hardly anything left in it with the current tune), the very brief stint I did in the clio got me a 1'10.8 but that wasn't all that great of a lap so the Clio clearly still has the advantage but they (clio drivers) need to be extremely consistant to get away. Eiger is my specialty.

On the brief run I did in the 350Z on S3's I got a 1'12.9 without a special tune (just adjusted to 550PP and lowered, nothing else), I imagine low 1'12 would be possible with a good suspension and gearing tweak.

I'm guess it depends on who I am racing, and what they are using. The guys I raced last night were fine with S3 tires, but if I come across a pack of Clio's running racing tires, I'll switch to the R1's.
