For some months now I've been unable to enter any online event that is held on the Daytona Oval. Every other event works fine but when I try and enter this particular one, at any level, it just doesn't load. From the online race screen I select the event but then permanently get the black screen with 'loading' flashing at the bottom.

Has any one else experienced any thing like this or can any one suggest why it might be happening? I have checked and cleaned my diisc (it's spotless), I have checked my web connection (steady 6mb/.6mb).

any help appreciated.

So,...not a common fault then :ill:

Tonight I have tried playing a music disc through to see if it might be a problem with the lens but I managed the full 24 tracks of 'Three Feet High and Rising' with no problems at all.

I've gone back into Prologue and have tried the arcade and the S9 event and what do you know....same problem. Does any one want to even hazard a guess or suggest any kind of fix??

I have messaged Sony and received their standard we'll get back to you in 24 hours (although they haven't :indiff:) and I'm at a bit of a loss as to what it could be.

Noticed any deformation or below surface disk damage. Sounds like the disk, since S9 errored also. Perhaps you may need to download the game through PSN. 👎

If you get a replacement copy, don't get it from PSN. The PSN version is still 30 euro, while you can pick up a disc from the bargain bin for 10 or less...

So I got a response from the helpful guys at Sony and they asked me to give them a call. I duly did and after running through all the symptoms I was advised to uninstall the game and reinstall it again. The idea being that it was some form of corrupted data on the hard drive that was preventing this particular track from working.

Approximately 1 hour later I'm back in business (so to speak) and all is well again. Fortunately I took the precaution of copying my game data file to a memory-usb so nothing has been lost.
