Great fun last night, really had to fight for the win. Jocke was much faster but remained gentlemanly throughout. Fantastic sport. Haven't watched the replay yet but looking at the finishing order, seems there were 3 tight battles going on.

Sorry for not joining yesterday Jocke. Nowadays I have to wake up early in the morning, so racing online on GT6 will be very difficult for me. I really wanted to wanted to join yesterday, but my friend's were over at my place yesterday so I couldn't.

I cannot guarantee my presence for the future races but I'll definitely try my best. 👍

Hope y'all had fun :)

not a bad drive once I'd got the hang of it
The car felt great and I'm impressed with it's design. Very sleek.
Missed a few drivers on the grid though :'(.
really had to fight for the win
Like I said in the lobby I really tried everything and just waited
for a mistake but you drove solid all race. I liked our little battle a lot.

Yeah towards the end there were three pairs dueling at different spots on the track.
It's not Manny-quality but I tried to capture most of it.

Colin takes home all the available bonus points by leading every single lap.

Monaco next : ).

Mines Skyline was a handful. :scared:

Can't believe I got third. Paul should have got me as he was much faster as should all of you...here's the proof:

Best Laps everyone did:

@JockeP22 2.12.590
@Cu3e 2.13.289
@buybon355 2.13.320
@IfAndOr 2.13.655
@tarnheld 2.13.840
Me 2.14.278

I was well off the pace of all of you so still can't believe how I got Third???:confused::D

Excellent racing, and everyone was amazing with their handling of this car.
Tried the WSR, and I keep facing the wrong way at most of the corners!! :dunce: I think I'll be bringing up the rear there?
:cheers:

I wouldn't say much faster Suts. It's less than a second. :)
When following you I did catch up in some sections but in others you pulled away from me. And when I was close, you defended your line really well so I couldn't get by cleanly. And perhaps you managed to keep it on the grey stuff more than us who finished below you. ;)

As long as you block the track you'll be OK.

Thanks for the stats, Suts.

Suzuka is a great track and the race was nice. To quote Sebastian Vettel from 2009 in The New York Times;
Simply fantastic this circuit, and if you get 53 laps you appreciate it even more. It's made by God's hands.

Tried the WSR, and I keep facing the wrong way at most of the corners!!
I just tried it myself in an online lobby and best lap so far is 1:45.157.

The tyres start to degrade after seven minutes or so.

I Don't believe it.:( I've managed to swap into work tomorrow evening/night. I may be available but I could get called away at any time. So I'm really sorry I will miss the Senna WSR car at monaco...:banghead:
I was really looking forward to it and had actually practiced too but i'm still spinning out!
I could join but might have to leave suddenly which this day and age with the network issues may cause everyone problems.
Have a great time at monaco and do a few pirouettes for me;)

:cheers:

Hells bells! I don't know how I managed to let the start of this slip me by chaps, sorry. I guess I'm going to have to enter a parallel SSM championship (Some Stuff Missing). See you in the Mediterranean sun on the 'morrow.

Cheers, Zo.

but i'm still spinning out!
Don't change down until you exit the corner. Oh and check your chassis rigidity, this car tends to weaken quite quickly. 500k credits to rebuild! Half the cost of the car.

If you can hold off on the start until about 21:20-21:30 I can join you next week and the week after...
I don't mind waiting @JockeP22 - if it's OK with you and the others of course.

I blame Paul
Not me again. :P

I've just had a quick practice on CS tyres but I've just realised we are using SS! I should be brilliant on those - probably. :dopey:

Starting later makes it very close to midnight on a working day for our Finnish friends and I'd like to avoid that.

But I do have the lobby set to Practice/Endurance for this cup since the actual qualifying mode apparently disturbes the lobby stability (I believe it was Paul who taught me that).

So if you're late and we haven't started it's possible to just jump in without setting a qualifying time.

Great race! Zolon was quicker than me each lap. Any time he dropped back a bit he caught right back up again. With 3 minutes to go he got by round the outside on the approach to casino and was on his way only to bin it at the swimming pool!

Really enjoyed it and was surprised at the pace I managed as I don't usually like this car but it really suited the circuit.

Very impressed by your pace bb & Zo, and that's two wins in a row now Colin. Good stuff.
Nice to see tarnheld back as well.

It was funny that I lured Paul into the pits with me. : )
It wasn't strategy Paul, I had plenty of fuel, but when the tyres wore down to 8 I
lost all rhythm and confidence so I felt I needed to do something and so went in for fresh rubber.
It only helped somewhat.

How much fuel did you have left at the finish, Colin?

One feature I'd love to see GT introduce is filling up the blank spots on the grid with AI drivers.
I believe Project Cars has this feature already. Is it working well in that game @buybon355 ?

Laguna Seca next week in the VW Scirocco. An FF race car, not too many of those.

Zolon... was on his way only to bin it at the swimming pool!
It's those ladies in little bikinis that caught his eye again.

What it was is that I'd been driving around by myself most of the time so when I begun to catch you up I thought "great, someone to race". Then you went into the pits! So I thought I'd follow and hopefully come out around the same time. It didn't work because you shot off into the distance again. :)

Even the Grid series of games have this and it certainly helps in the immersion with all the extra cars. Actually the Grid AI has always been pretty good, they actually try to win!

Codemasters have always been the best at AI, the Dirt games, like grid are actually fun to go back and play offline unlike most racing games. I wish everyone else would learn from them.

Aye project cars has this feature but I've never experienced it first hand. Agree with bbb though, codemasters have always been good at this. Toca was a great game too.

Had loads of fuel left and tyres had only just gone to 8 at the end. I remember you saying it would be close, so at the half way point I had a look, had more than half a tank of fuel and tyres were still at 9 so just kept doing what I was doing. Think my best race lap was 6 tenths down on zo. He was flying

Jocke, guys, apologies for not being able to join so far. My younger brother and his better half are visiting and they are staying in the living-room and that prevents pretty much any late night-early morning gaming. I may be able to join when they leave or maybe next week if their planned trip to Kyoto extends until Thursday.
cheers and grats bb

I think we did start the actual race around 22:20 Blue, so you might be able to get in next week 👍

I really, really enjoyed that BB, what a fantastic battle, more than twenty minutes of racing barely a second apart. Pity I cocked it up at the end, it would have great to have taken it right to the flag. Roll on Laguna. To be honest, I really hate the place, and I'm not fond of FF, but with racing like this I have a feeling it's going to be belting anyway :)

Cheers, Zo. (I have Lord H to thank for my pace, by the way, he stalked me quite hard at the beginning.)

Toca was a great game too.
TOCA, now you're talking. That was a great game. All those British tracks too.

Zo. He was flying
Ah, that's where I was going wrong. I was using one of the boats from the harbour.

Actually, for immersion, I was using the interior view for about three quarters of the race but it was making me 2 or 3 seconds a lap slower than you front guys. I eventually gave in and switched to "bonnet" cam but it was too late by then. It is a great interior view though. It's a pity that you can't turn off bits of the HUD it spoils it a bit.

Should be a good replay. I felt like senna in 92 with a much quicker mansell all over my gearbox! Only difference being zo actually managed to get past with a great move round the outside unlike our nige.

High powered front wheel drive with comfort tyres and high wear next. Will need a delicate throttle to retain some grip and not spin all the power away. Can see at least one stop being required with my lead foot.

0:00 - 1:33 Senna speaks
1:34 - 17:31 buybon & Zolon Round 1
17:32 - 18:12 Paul & Jocke pits
18:13 - 22:04 buybon & Zolon Round 2
22:05 - 22:25 hobnob pits
22:26 - 24:41 buybon & Zolon Round 3
24:42 - 27:59 tarn vs. Paul
28:00 - Drivers crossing finish line
