Now that is a rare car.
So full of potential awesomeness, yet they all rot away.

Cool car. 👍

Yes they rust as hell sadly, especially up here in the north with our salt on the roads at winter.

Mine is not 100% free from it but its pretty OK.

I must replace that dented right door this year, I have a spare one, it just need some white paint.

Looks like you started with the basics, good call. Sticky tires and good brakes go a long way to take a standard car to the next level.

In my opinion, I like to improve my car's handling and braking performance to not only make it more capable but also more fun. The "feel" items help quite a bit - things like stiffer suspension bushings, new shifter bushings or a short-throw shifter, a firm brake pedal, lighter flywheel for better throttle response.

Sounds like you've upgraded your brakes quite a bit but you should consider another step - braided stainless brake lines. They don't expand as much as the rubber lines so you get a more immediate, firmer pedal feel. Most sets are around $100 here in the States.

Also, does this thing make any noise? You might look into reasonably cheap ways to make it sound racier just because its fun to hear. If your car is anything like a Honda it will have a muffler right at the tail pipe. Maybe you could unbolt that and either buy or have made an axle-back pipe. I had a straight axle-back on my old Civic Si and it sounded great without being too loud.

I love performance but hate bodywork. I tend to hold off on cosmetics even though my car is a daily. Besides your door, what are your future plans?

Can't remember the last time I saw a Calibra, I've always liked the styling. Not a very common car you've got there. 👍

That is beautiful. Great job man!

Thank you :)

Needs a turbo and new door, otherwise it looks good as is.

New door its on its way, I newer going to fit a turbo though.

About 13 years of owning it? Dayum, that is one very nice car. Wish the States had got 'em.

Yes this was my first "real" car, lended money to buy it when I got my first job.

I have a set of Goodridge braides brakelins already, forgot to mention then in my first post :dunce:

Better bushings, Koni adjustabe dampers, harder springs is on the shoppinglist. Need more camber at the front so I problably going to buy Saab NG900 lower control arms, they widen the track 10mm each, and therefore increase camber a bit.

I must fit a racingreat on the driverside atleast, its hard to drive now when moving around alot in the stock seats, helps "feeling" the car better also I think.

I have a sport exhaust fitted and it sound ok, thinking of replacing the Saab turbo cat I fitted with a metal-core one or remove it when driving on track.

Im totaly with you there on performance before styling 👍

Its the same up here, I saw one last summer but before that I dont remember.

The styling is great, for a production car. Sadly some dont understad that and put ugly bodykits on them

Added another clip from the fastest lap of ther day, captured by the rear cam.

New trackday done. This time at Gelleråsen Motorstadion.

No mods made to it from last time. Exept I finally got my thumb out of my A** and painted my spare right door and replaced the dented one.

New door in place.

And then I polished it a bit :)

Fastest lap 1m26.2. That is 2.7s faster than last years fastets lap, done on street tyres and with stock brakes.

I had some "traffic" i my group, some cars are "wider" than others when I tried to pass them...

Some of the drivers with more expensive cars that didnt could keep up with me on track came and asked me what I had done to the car. The best thing was that all of them thought i drove a turbo model

aaaaah dude I have always ALWAYS liked the looks of Calibras. Awesome car you've got going on in here. I'll check the videos at home 👍

Thank you 👍

For being a 22 year old car, it still looks quite modern I think.

Its resting on jackstands in my garage at the moment, I now must decide what to change in the winter for better laptimes next year.

I would like som more power but on the other hand som more chassituning would make a difference also.
