GT3 had alot more Formula 1 cars in it. I dont know much about rally, but Lanica 037 wasnt base off a rally car.GT4 had 1 (one) F1 lookalike car and 90% of the rallycars are based on a roadcar.
GT3 had remade (not officially licensed) F1 cars in the NTSC versions and 2 fantasy Formula cars in the PAL version (Polyphony 001 & 002).
I like that idea:tup:👍👍I'm already imagining driving an A1GP car around Brands...and thinking of a GTP A1GP World Championship, now you see this would be the definitive test for skill because each car is the same, only with different liveries!
yeah and the 001 beat everything so easily lol this isn't what gt is about man.

Alot of the old Le Mans cars, Group C cars, and LMP 1 and 2 cars werent base off of roadcars. There are roadcars that are open wheeled- Ariel Atom, Vanwall, Caterham
You wouldn't want to only play with road cars,JGTC's and a few LM's, would you? I know no one else her would.
I WONDER WHAT'S GONNA HAPPEN NEXT. Let's go to commercials, YOU AIN'T GONNA MISS A THANG!"
That would be great once it didnt fall apart of go on fireopen-wheeled.
And i'm not totally against open-wheel cars, Caparo T1 would be great

Would be a nice test for the damage system.![]()
Yeah I would. I prefer to drive old school muscle cars than hi tech race cars. Anyway everyone has different tastes.
I didn't say that those shouldn't be in GT. Open wheelers shouldn't be in GT.
Your list of cars is acceptable as the series they are in was originally based on road cars, but they have just evolved.
Just like what Jef-f Dun-ham said,
"Nascar is with people drivin' 500 miles, in a circle... THEY'RE MAKIN' A LEFT TURN... THEY'RE MAKIN' ANOTHER LEFT TURN... THEY'RE MAKIN' ANOTHER LEFT TURN... I WONDER WHAT'S GONNA HAPPEN NEXT. Let's go to commercials, YOU AIN'T GONNA MISS A THANG!"
*sigh* I had thought of a great rebuttal to this, but that would be violating the rule in my signature.
WOW! Seems like a good amount of people are against you. Are you sure you know your GT? It's better to know your GT before you join GTplanet.![]()
*facepalms*
Facepalms?

What's the topic here? Are NASCARs open wheelers? Are WRC cars open wheelers? So you dont want NASCAR , Rally and Formula 1 cars that are included in GT5 then? Also GT hasnt always been all about road cars. GT4 had Formula 1 cars , Rally cars and real race cars that werent road cars. I would love to see the Formula 3 cars and Formula BMW cars in GT.
It is my opinion that open wheeled formula race cars should not be in GT. It is my opinion and is not wrong.WOW! Seems like a good amount of people are against you.
Yep, sorry. I've only been here for 7 years. I've only been playing GT since you were in nappies. Thanks for keeping me right. Are you sure you know your GT? It's better to know your GT before you join GTplanet.![]()
Well, it is an opinion, which can't be right or wrong. But I can see merit in this opinion, because if we have too many open-wheelers, GT might turn into a Toca Race Driver type thing. I'm not saying that's necessarily a bad thing, but it doesn't mesh with GT's image. I for one would like to have SOME lower-class open-wheelers in the game. I think GT should stick to having one F1 car for those who want to try their hand at it, but the rest should be lower classes, such as those discussed (F3 etc.).It is my opinion that open wheeled formula race cars should not be in GT. It is my opinion and is not wrong.
