coming soon...
Hi guys, I am new here and was just looking if anyone has any advice for me.:) I was running my Opera S2000 (great car) around the ring(geat course). I have a pretty good setup and was able to clock off a 6:18.564 around the ring with the fully modded Opera. Here is my setup.

Opera S2000 (RING)

Brake Balance Controller:
FR-6 RR-12
Spring Rates:
FR- 11.0 RR-7.0
Dampers:
FR bound-5 rebound-10
RR bound-3 rebound-7
Ride Height:
Full low
Toe:
FR-0 RR-0
Camber:
FR-(-4) RR-(-1.5)

Downforce:
FR-30 RR-30

-I also used a combination of the tranny trick and my own tranny tuning, so the ratios are as good as I think they can be.

-1.5 way limited slip differential
-no ballast
-no driving aids
- no nitrous

R3 tires FR and RR

I tried some other setups based off info from this site after my own, but was not able to make a significant improvment. So i'm just wandering if anybody has any suggestions or a faster S2000 around the ring or just any help.💡

I did some tests one day when I was tuning some cars, because something just didn't feel right. The camber in GT4 doesn't actually make musch of a difference until you use them in extrmes. The test I did was 1 deg. neg. in front and 4 deg. neg. in front ( seperatly of course in two tests ) and there was almost no difference. Now in real life camber is a more substatial change then in GT4, even in small incriments. So I set it at more of a real life setting then GT4. It works good though. You should try it sometime.:)

I will try a couple different final drives and ratios again to see if I can make anymore progress!

Thanks for the advice!

Interesting...I've seen that set up before, but on another car. :)

I will try it out when I can. I think I might be tempted to try a fully adjustable LSD, some +toe and adjust the stabilisers (is that what GT4 calls them?). What settings do you have for the stabilisers as I cant see that in the listing?

I'd try softer springs. The ring is incredibly bumpy, and softer springs help to keep the wheels on the road a bit more. I'm betting that right now you're jumping around on the track and the car is very twitchy. 10 should be the max for any car imho.

Increasing the ride height to slightly above minimum would help aswell, that way you can take the curbs in :)

I was running a the stabilizers at FR-3 and RR-7. Also the car is a little twitchy but most of it has to do with the brake bias. It could be a little better over the bumps so I'll try a little softer setup.

( also if this setup does look familiar it is because I know stig_beater in real life and he always copies my setup ideas. However I see that he has been talking a lot of trash and overall being kind of a hot head around here. Apparently he acts no different online!)

Keep the off topic chit chat to real life and out of this thread please.

A couple of things:

The race tires hide most problems, raise the ride height 10-15 mm, put an Ful.Ad. LSD on with 8-33-13. Lower the spring rates a lot, and the dampers to suit (not rebound, leave that at 8-9), untill the car stops jumping off the road, not cool. No stabiliser settings eh? Maybe some front toe in

I was able to knock a little time off by softening it up a little. About 7 tenths, but on Nurburgring that is only like a little of a tenth improvement a minute. But an improvement none the less. Does anybody have any first hand experience with the ring and the S2000 or times.

Thanks for the help!:)

(stabilizer settings was a couple of posts up)
