The Italian Job

There is already 3 teams of 3 drivers registered for this event.

We have decided to open up the registration for another 3 drivers to possibly make it a 3 teams with 4 drivers event.

Registration will close tomorrow at 18:00 UK time. If by that time 3 drivers have not registered then the teams will stay at 3 drivers each and anyone who has registered by posting here will be put on a reserve driver list.

As this is a team event, please check the date and the time of the event before registering to make sure you can defianately attend. Thanks.

All drivers in this and future Special events are awarded points that go towards the Drivers League Table. So the top 5 finishers in each race, pole position in the first race and fastest laps are given points. Also each driver of the winning team are awarded 100 ORDL champion points, 50 for Runners-up and 25 for third place.

Another Special Series event will be announced by Evo very soon.

Japanese Super Cup: I will be running with NUFC (a.k.a.Toonarmypad) in the NSX Type R '02. My car is matte black at the moment but if my team mate doesn't have that colour available I can always buy and tune a new NSX (cars are a lot easier than matte paint to obtain!).

Japanese Super Cup Event Template updated with drivers and vehicles.

I have updated the look of the template so it is eaasier to view the information. Regulations that are always present have been moved to the website under rules section so they dont take up room.

Just a quick one on driver league. Itz mentioned points will go towards the league when competing in special event.

Is that not the case with any race anyway?
 
Evo I hate you man. Im saving up for an s2000 at the moment. Think I should be getting one in winter looking forward to it loads!

Point being.... . Thats MY car!!! Arrgh.

In a sense, yes they do. Drivers are awarded points for the league table for anything up to a 5th place finish.

The Special Series offers drivers a chance to gain more points to lift them further up the table, especially newer racers. Points come in handy to qualify for other events and the Champions Cup that will be held twice a year.

It was a great idea from Itzza to have such a table. Its a great way to monitor drivers progress in the league.

Oh, and sorry for stealing your car!

Speaking of GT Academy, how many members are trying it this year?

Also what were your final rankings for last years event?

Expecting a lot of the challenges to be at Silverstone considering thats where the final is held and I bet there will be comparisons for the finalists to see if they can set the same time or faster.

I think I will give it a go just to see if I've got the talent. Haven't competed in the GT academy before, so don't have any ranking from last year.

I am using Photobucket, it's easy mate just sign up there then upload you're pics and when it's done u will see four links for posting to various sites u need the one for forums copy that and then paste into the message on GTP,

NocturneSRT aka SauberC29, a dormant member has asked to revitalise his ORDL career. Sauber joined the Lexus Red Team and won the Lexus ISF RM Team Championship in our first event.

I would like to welcome him back to the league.

Sadly the F430 Cup Event is full, now we have reduced each event to 12 drivers so he wont be able to join us for this event.

Entry for The Italian Job is also now closed. More Special Events are to be announced very soon.
