From PRT Thread:

Looks really good, only have a few things to say which is the time, in my country it's an hour earlier and at the time i'm usually going for dinner so if possible could you move the start of it about 20, maybe 30 minutes later? And on 2nd September I don't think I will be able to make it because of a birthday party, would it possible to change the date of it?

i have to pick those who can compete in this championship, and those who are here.
I'm going to den mark for three weeks, and i'll return the 19th August, so could we change the date if possible?

ok for 5-6 members:
-MSTER232
-Driverman447 / GTracer98
-alienwire
-Shoe67
-toby1002
- and me, MonGnoM
is that ok for you guys?
(and what about you shoe? is the time ok for you?)

i can't compete too on the 17th...
so we have to move the date...

Sorry for taking so long to get back to you. Been massively busy!

Original Dates:

17TH AUGUST 14 FUJI GT
24TH AUGUST 13 GRAND VALLEY SPEEDWAY
28TH AUGUST 12 NURBURGRING GP/F
2ND SEPTEMBER 11 MONZA
9TH SEPTEMBER 11 SUZUKA

New Dates:

20TH AUGUST 14 FUJI GT
24TH AUGUST 13 GRAND VALLEY SPEEDWAY
28TH AUGUST 12 NURBURGRING GP/F
4TH SEPTEMBER 11 MONZA
9TH SEPTEMBER 11 SUZUKA

Times to be moved also: 21:30 UK Time, thats the latest we can do Im afraid.

Race Incident involving Car 13 Mosendtner and Car 65 Narcis65

Ferrari F430 Cup Lap 10 of Race 2 at Fuji GT 22/7/13

To be investigated by admin team members Evoloution and Itzza

This incident can be construed 1 of 2 ways:

1) All cars were passing to the right hand side down the straight to try and avoid cars drafting from behind and I understand that Narcis65 may have being doing the same.

2) It is possible that Narcis65 was trying to defend his position. However contact should not have been made as Mosendtner was clearly the quicker car and would have enough time and speed to pass before the finish line.

Rule 7.5 states that: Penalty points or a time penalty may/will be given to drivers who cause race incidents that could be avoided.

In this case the penalty given will be a reversal of the result. Mosendtner is promoted to 4th Place, 11 Points. Narcis is demoted to 5th Place 10 Points.

Race Incident involving Car 9 NUFC_1989_ and Car 36 Doctorpotford

Ferrari F430 Cup Lap 1 of Race 2 at Fuji GT 22/7/13

To be investigated by admin team members Evoloution and Itzza

A warning is given to Doctorpotford for the incident. If Doctorpotford is reported and found guilty of a race incident at round 9 of the Ferrari F430 Cup then a 3 point penalty will be imposed.

Doctorpotford has admitted liability and while NUFC_1989_ was disadvantaged the incident happened on lap 1 of a 10 lap race. Our thoughts are that this gave NUFC_1989_ time to re-establish his place. I understand that NUFC_1989_ may not have finished as high as he could potentially but the race may have turned out completely different and we cannot predict the outcome.

Itzza will be updating the scoring to reflect these incidents as required.

Our rules section is constantly being monitored and the introduction of the Pro Series is also having a positive impact on the rules we have in place. It is clear however that more rules need to be drafted into the section to serve all circumstances and types of incidents. I will be again updating the section to make it clearer and what penalties may be imposed.

The decisions made tonight are not taken lightly as we want everyone to enjoy racing with us and we wish there to be no bad feeling between any members of the ORDL.

Rule section updated.

http://www.ordl.co.uk/rules.html

Please note that from the 1st of August the following change to the points system will be made:

Pole Position - Remains a 1 point bonus in all series if a qualification session was held. Does not apply to sessions that host multiple races and feature reverse grid etc.

Point to be awarded as follows:

  1. 15
  2. 14
  3. 13
  4. 12
  5. 11
  6. 10
  7. 9
  8. 8
  9. 7
  10. 6
  11. 5
  12. 4

The date has been chosen ready to start the Japanese Super Cup event and will not interfere with the Ferrari Cup as it will have ended.

This is being done to enable closer competition in all our events and was suggested by easy9 in his new admin role. We feel this will benefit the league and put a sense of importance on finishing as well as you can in every race. From now only the last 2 places will not score (On a grid of 16).

Hopefully GT6 will allow for stable racing with 16 drivers and as the league grows we feel we can fill these positions in most cases.

We are also in the middle of launching a shop via our website, please drop by to see what we have to offer. More to be added soon. We have also added a donate button to assist in the running costs incurred.

Cobra Monaco with ORDL style custom artwork now available on our website shop. In association with GSM Performance, these bucket seats offer great value for Sim Racing.

Heres the first seat that has been produced:

Sorry for the double post of sorts, but think this deserves its own post:

While coming up with ideas for items to sell in the ORDL shop, I had thought about a calendar with gallery pics in for next year. I have been contacted by Mosendtner, he suggests that we could use the Photo Of The Month pics to fill the calendar.

Now my questions are:

1) Would you buy an ORDL calendar?
2) If you would, and would like it to be purely Picture Of The Month then we have a problem as the comp started in April.

This can be solved by running extra competitions up until December. Calendars would have to be produced the second week of December in order for them to be despatched in time for the new year.

Let us know what you guys think!

Should there not be more of an incentive and reward for winning a race? If you're running in second or third position, why bother fighting for first place if it's only going to get you 1 or 2 more points?

There is actually a mistake in the table teck, il update soon as. My apologies, I was very tired last night when this was posted :)

Right the points system;

If you look back at our previous events, the gaps between people have been quite large. By reducing the difference in points for places will allow for events to be tighter with no single driver running away with the championship.

I understand Totallyteckles point about not bothering to push for that extra place but it still means more points by gaining places. It will keep the pressure on all drivers to compete and do as well as possible in each race and make every point all the more vital. Im sure all drivers will always want to push for that extra place, even if it is for one extra point, it could be the difference between 1st and 2nd come the end of the event.

GTC SC final standings had a gap of 38 points between 1st and second, Kart Season 2 was a 37 point gap and ISF RM Championship was 36 points.

It also makes qualifying even more important for the bonus point to be awarded.

This new system was looked at largely due to the Pro Series, no one wanted a driver to be miles in front only halfway through the season. We can envisage people not attending if they think they have not got a chance to get near the top.

Also by reducing the gap if a driver cannot attend a race one night, again the gap although it will grow, will not be as dramatic as it has been.

Hope everyone understands the reasons we have decided to implement this, its not a decision that has been taken lightly.

There have been a lot of rule changes to make the new Pro Series "Fit" to how we want the league to run. We have tried to minimise the disruption to the other series but we do need rules and regs that will cover every aspect of our league and the points is one aspect that has to be changed.

I believe this will benefit the league and I will only approve things that I believe will ensure a positive change to how things are done.

So the new points are:

Pole (where applicable) 1 bonus point

  1. 15
  2. 14
  3. 13
  4. 12
  5. 11
  6. 10
  7. 9
  8. 8
  9. 7
  10. 6
  11. 5
  12. 4
  13. 3
  14. 2
  15. 1
  16. 0

I had missed off the last few, again my apologies. Yes Gray, you will be getting more points from 1st September! With GT6 and stable lobbies, we hope to see 16 on the grid.

I dont know if you noticed, but some of the rule updates last night came from the 2 IRFs we received this week. Sometimes we dont have all the answers and the only way we learn is through incidents occurring. We cant think of every scenario that is ever likely to happen so we learn as we go and try to cover as many aspects as possible.

According to the race page the date of the last Ferrari race is the 20th of July!
So when is it?

Typo gray my mistake, the last race is 30th July as per calendar. I will get template sorted and changed.

And I need to learn to drive faster!
I'm getting fed up of being so slow and coming last, I feel like selling up!

Keep at it mate its still early days. Im the same, find im a little off the pace of our top drivers. Got to remember some of the guys here have been racing online for quite a while. I only started in February when I started the league and you have only had your wheel a few months.

Wax on, wax off. Wax on, wax off. Wax on, wax off.......
