Please read the tyre rules (again), and let me know if you have any questions:

5) Tyres

Race 1 – No restrictions, use any tyres.

Race 2 -

Top 5 finishes of race 1 will not be allow to start race 2 with RS, only RM or RH are allow at the start.

Top 5 finishes of race 1 will have 2 sets of RS for race 2.

All other drivers can start with any tyres and they will have 3 sets of RS, there are no limits on sets of RM or RH.

If you use 1 pair of RS tyres + 1 pair of RM tyres at the same time, it will be class as 1 set of RS used.

7.12 If you put on the wrong tyre at a pit stop (e.g. when you are allowed 3 sets of RS, but you put on a 4th set), you may go back to the pit on the next lap and change to the correct tyre or there will be a 45sec time penalty.

Just a question.

Do we have to use all three compounds in race 2?

I understand the soft rule regarding how may are allowed, lets say I finish last in the first race, can I then do three stints on soft and not use rm or RH at all. Like wise if I I finish in the top 5 race 1, I then start on hards and run two softs after and do not use rm at all. Is this allowed?

1) There is no need to use all 3 compounds.

2) If you finished last (or out of top 5) you can do all three stints on softs. You can have fourth stint in RM or RH too (but no more RS) if need be.

3) If you finished in the top 5, you can start race 2 on RH and there is no need to run RM at all.

There will be more then 1 tyre/pit stop strategy on most races, together with the handicaps should make the racing very interesting.

So the only restriction is to limit the usage of softs, forcing the use of another compound to even the field out, making this a very strategic series.........I freaking love it, well done bud, and thanks for the reply.

OK, the Pro Series season is upon us.

I'm sure most of you are aware of these points, but here are a few things to remember to keep incidents to a minimum.

i)Give each other space in Qualifying. If you are on a slow lap be aware of other cars on track and get out of their way. There's nothing worse than being under the pole time all the way round to then come across someone not paying attention in the final sector!

ii)Exiting the pit lane. Be aware of other cars when exiting the pits, this applies to the race and qualifying. No crossing the solid white line!

iii)Weaving on the straights. You are permitted to change your line once on the straights. Weaving to try and break the slipstream of the car behind is not allowed, plus it doesn't actually work!

iv)Use the side view. Those that use the nose cam please use the side view when things get tight. Before choosing a line for a corner ensure there's not a car alongside you!

v)Be sure you can overtake. Its the overtaking drivers responsibility to ensure a pass is made cleanly. please don't go far gaps that are not there! This mainly applies when coming across a slower car who is driving defensively, passing cleanly is all part of the challenge.

Good luck to everyone. Lets hope we are talking about great overtakes and perfect tyre strategies rather than someones race being ruined by some poor driving.

See you on track later.:)

Volunteer needed!

A lot of work and time has been put into setting up of this series, more work will be needed to keep it running, and I don't have enough time, can anyone help take phones and/or video and send them to the ORDL management. If anyone can help it would be appreciated.

All we need is the race replay to be sent to our email guys, we can do the rest.

Good luck everyone for tonights race., I will review the entries against the results to update members section and I think it may help to concentrate everything into our main thread to avoid confusion in the future.

I have pulled into the pits on race 1 and I am now reading the rules and regulations and I will be up to speed ready for next weeks race. I will do some testing and see what cars are available.

Well done Skeng for the first round dominating win. Your tyre saving skills are brilliant bud. For me it was a complete disaster of a race. Wasn't prepared and struggled throughout the race.

Thanks to all for another great nights racing

Not complete disaster, you got pole and Fastest lap on R1, so you mush have good speed.

Yes, nice wins Skeng.

Results will be out very soon.

The car actually felt better with less hp , rear was a bit more stable .

I look fwd to Spa. One if not my fave track with gt500 cars.

Doubt i can repeat a win but i will try .

Results and standings from Round 1 are now up on the Pro Series page of the website.

Nice one:tup:

Hi m1.

Thanks bud

It's time for Round 2 of the ORDL Pro Series at Spa!

Congratulations to everyone from Round 1 for some excellent racing, very clean and incident free. Also a big well done to Skengdigi for a brilliant double win!

For this round the stewards attention will be on the use of the run-off areas as Spa has many. With penalties being off here's a few DO's and DON'T's.

i)If you are going to use the run-off area due to late breaking, going too fast or poor line etc. You must lift off the throttle, no full throttle run through's.

ii)Regular use of the run-off will incur a penalty. The odd time is OK but doing the same thing lap after lap is not allowed.

iii)Gaining an advantage on the following straight/corner by using the run-off is not permitted. eg. Carrying speed by using the run-off to get your car into slipstreaming / outbraking distance.

iv)When returning to the track please do so responsibly, don't ruin someone else's race by pulling straight out in front of them. If there's no gap you'll have to wait.

Lets all have a good clean race again!

See you all on track
