What i think would be cool if they had events like togue battles, up through the mountains.With people randomly put throughout the stages. This would give the tuning and import side of this game some more spice! And even better, this as an event online would be better. Because you could then race other people online up throught the mountains and have like series' and championships! Thats what i thought anyway!!!!:)

The only types of racing I want are Drag, Rally and normal. Drift also but that isn't technically racing as it doesn't matter who crosses the finish line first, it's more about how good of drifting you did.
 
I want an autocross track of some sort. It's all well and good to have a car out on a normal track, but if GT strives to be the real driving simulator you might as well give people an option to do something they would be more likely to do in real life. Plus it would add a new detention of tuning and racing since you could easily beat a more powerful car with one that only has a fraction of that power.

I always thought if you are the lead car and get overtaken, that's really bad for your points
 
I actually would like if gt5 stuck to tarmac racing. Road rally (eg. like Targa Tasmania and whatever the equivalent is in EU/US), Street and circuit racing and drag racing is fine as a side thing but no drag racing events please!

I always hated doing dirt/gravel/snow rally events in previous Gt's

The driver missions were good though from GT4. Just if something like the SLR at Nurb is repeated PLEASE don't make me wait 2 minutes just to start the race!
 
Yeah targa tasmania is definately a hit down under, and yes it WOULD be good to see it in gt5 but thats a very big would!!
 
I would like to see Joy Rides through the Swiss Alps, or Southern France, Northern Italy, and stuff like that. Or just a simple Joy Ride anywhere, hopefully on mountain roads with nice music... If you can add your own music, even better. Just like a real driving simulator.
 
I guess an event or two with trucks would be interesting.
I'm not a fan of Touge, atleast that is my opinion after GRID.

I am very curious at how the rally part will look/drive in GT5. Hope they do something about the particle (smoke) effect of prologue and improve the physics.
 
I have said this before, if GT5 does not have a rally mode, I will wait for a price drop to buy it! I've been playing GT since the very beginning, but if they take out such a racing feature which I grew up watching, I will be really mad
 
Whoa, nice videos!

Hillclimb and touge are a must IMO

They'd have to be quite long though as it'd get annoying dealing with a restart menu on multiple runs every couple minutes.

The hillclimbs i know are usually about 2-3min long. It would be annoying the restart menu indeed, however if PD manages to change cars without exiting race, that shoulnt be a problem.

I live 300 mts away from the sart line of a international hillclimb road. Very smooth tarmac, good turns and beautifull woodtrees around. Unfortunately, due to the organistion, theres no races anymore. I remember when i moved here, like 20 years ago, to see the BMW M1, Audi Quatro Sport and Renault 5 Maxi Turbo. Those were my favourite ones. Even better than the Barchettas (fastest but too glued to the ground, no drama).

I remeber one year when i saw on the race program that it would race a Peugeot 205 T 16. I went nuts. But it turned out to be a flop. The car was not very fast but mainly because the sound of the car. Didnt sound like a group B car at all. More like a scooter. It was a shock for what i was expecting. Maybe the car had some problems, i dont know.

We also had Citroen Visa and Citroen AX GTI :lol:

EDIT: I almost forgot to mention the amazings Ford Sierra Cosworth RS 500.

I agree, the GT series is what got me into rally racing since there isn't mush here in Minnesota in terms of rally racing. But I won't say I will wait for the price to drop because that could take months.
 
No touge racing, please! :indiff: It was extremely desperating to watch crappy GT4 drift videos with the Toyota Sprinter Trueno AE86 S.S., less to say about crappy GT5 drift videos with said car in mountains!
 
drifting really should not be considered a sport alone.. it should be used effectively during relgular races, realistically!
 
The more the better. It's really the culture around drifting that annoys me, not the drifting (or drifters) it/themselves.
 
Indeed. There's nothing wrong with cars drifting, but the fact that most of the time they are the same cars, with the same stupid background sound just annoys me. I wish they had never added that damn car in the game in first place.
