Other racing games on the PS3

Disagree entirely. The CM games have a few bugs but overall they are much better and more complete F1 games.

Isn't the F1 2012 made by code masters

Crappy graphics with TONS of aliasing and ugly frame rate on PS3. I don't know how people can play that thing and even considering it "much better". Well to each his own.

Well I've not played it on PS3 but I was under the impression 2012 had improved things over the shoddy PS3 version of 2011.

I played the demo for F1 2012 on PS3 and it did not look improved - though to be fair, I didn't see any frame rate issues just plain, ugly textures for the track.

This explain all. If you have it on PC it can be awesome, but on PS3 Codmaster just went in greed mode, code optimiziation was skipped, they just care about selling with no effort on porting.

I own F1 2010 the main problem with frame rates is at Monaco, it just stop being accettable. In other tracks is kind of decent but nothing special, it's a 30fps game with some little drops here and there and the Monaco epic fail.

I also tried F1 2011 rented by a friend and it looks slightly worse than F1 2010 because of slightly more aliasing. I gave it back a week later. Not impressed.

F1 2012 I tried the demo, not impressed as well. I don't have Monaco track so I can't tell you how is the frame there.

Codemaster with Dirt 1,2,3 made a great job, it's a shame they skipped good PS3 porting in F1 series. I'm curious to see what they'll do in an eventual GRID 2 demo.

Trouble is, CM don't always release demos. I suppose it will depend on whether or not G2 does well initially. I seem to recall that a D3 demo arrived a month or so after the game was released.

I just checked my PSN downloads and can comfirm that it was the F1 CE demo that I liked. I was basing my comments upon F1 2010 based on gameplay perceptions which seemed less enjoyable than F1:CE.
