EDIT: Darn you, forum. I didn't see that "Next Page" button till it was too late!

But yeah. I hope the A/B/C paint setup thing is true. If not, then oh well. Gold Chrome on everything anyway. :sly:

If you have painted your 3 setups different colours, go to free run or something and drive each of them. If it doesn't work, I guess it's been patched out. I could show you with a video but I can't be botherd. You will just have to trust me that it's like this pre patches.

For those mentioning no horns in GT6, the left analogue stick L3 has been re-assigned to headlights and the horn has no keybinding assigned to it so you'll need to edit the controller button mappings to get the horn back.

A couple of polarized chips are prizes in the seasonals I think - so I guess we could see some chromes happening too.

With the AE you got about 20 chrome chips. Otherwise you'll have to do seasonals for the chromes.

It won't work for me in V1.01. Did you do it in V1.00?

No, I don't know this. Thanks for helping.
I don't know how to use this thing. I feel like an old person trying to use newfangled technology. :guilty:
It doesn't let me see any other colours. When I hit the L1 R1 it didn't do anything.
Can you see these colours before you purchase the hats & suits?
What about the 1-pieces do they have colour options? Because maybe I only tried it with the anniversary suit. And maybe that doesn't work?

I'm convinced now that was just wind being blown up the skirts. I can't see how that would work at all.

Then again, I don't even know how to get my driver dressed!! So I'm probably not the right person to listen to on these things.

Yes! Me too! I liked putting the boop-boop sounding horn on all my cars. :(

Changes it where & how? How do I get a look at them before I shell out the credits?

Anyway, the anniversary suit is dark blue. That's it. it's a 1-piece, solid dark blue. Slightly metallic. It's no great shakes, trust me.

Oh, and I'm looking to want gear that's red & green for my standard watermelon theme.
Just wanted to make it clear I'm not some kind of nerd that wants to dress my driver in the spirit of the holidays or whatever.

Although thinking about it, I guess I'm some kind of nerd who wants to dress my driver to match my internet handle. :guilty: :odd:

From My Home - Tuning and Maintenance - Racing Gear. Some gear has only a single colour, some have multiple colours. For instance in Helmets, the first one listed is a white Simpson Diamondback, Single-Color. These "Single-Color" items cannot have their colour changed before purchase. The fifth one listed is a Striker with 34 Colours. Selecting the Striker, you will see in the preview window on the right, the driver will be wearing a red one, and inside the preview window will be written "1/34", "L1", "Preview", "R1". Press L1 or R1 to cycle forward or backward through all 34 colours available for that helmet. The same thing goes for Racing Suits.

really wish there was a database to find out what cars have what paints so i dont have to try browsing thru 1200 cars to find the 1 color i want (barbados blue metallic)

Actually, Googling "Barbados Blue Metallic" brings me to your thread from 2011. There is a "Barbados Metallic" available when purchasing the Holden Monaro CV8 '04, but it looks much more like green to my eye, nothing like your real-life Senator. If that's not what you're looking for, maybe I could check my thousands of GT5 chips to find something more appropriate, and then find its equivalent in GT6. EDIT: I did just that (before I read VXR's comment), and indeed found "Barbados Blue Metallic" belonging to the Pontiac GTO 5.7 Coupe '04. It's basically a left-hand-drive Monaro, so that shouldn't come as a surprise.

At any rate, the new chip system is still far more user-friendly than it was in GT5. Not only are chips not consumed, but one does not have to scour the UCD waiting for the desired car & colour to appear randomly.

Thanks peeps, I finally figured it out & got my driver dressed properly.

Is Barbados Blue Metallic one of those colours that might be the same name but different on different cars maybe?
(Just a thought.)
I seem to remember a Barbados Blue that was pretty darn blue.

Are matte paints given out as seasonal prizes as well? Do you get paints from any other method other than purchasing cars and doing seasonals?

Check my edited reply above. "Barbados Metallic" is on the Monaro '04, "Barbados Blue Metallic" is on the GTO '04. Since both cars are virtually identical, built on the same assembly line in Australia, I assume that they have the same, identical colour in real life. The slightly different names and different shades is likely an error. I've noticed more than a few colour names that aren't quite correct, for example Honda's "Captiva Blue Pearl" is called "Captivate Blue Pearl" in-game. There's also a few paint chips that have identical names from identical manufacturers, but look slightly different. I suppose that the process of sampling a real colour and digitizing it isn't perfect. If they sampled a Monaro on a sunny day in Australia, and a Pontiac in a warehouse in the US, they'd look different.

I've won both a GT-CHROME and a GT-POLARIZED chip from the Seasonals. Since the GT chips from GT5 are all original (not acquired from purchasing cars), I assume that Seasonals are the only way of acquiring them in GT6. I'd assume also that Seasonals won't give manufacturer chips, only GT ones such as Matte, Chrome, etc.
